-you and kol are secretly together, and you come to his families ball-

You had gotten all dressed up to go to the mikaelson ball. Honestly, you didn't know how you felt about it. You liked Kol, a lot but meeting his family might be too soon. You were at Bonnies house since she was our best friend. You had picked out the perfect outfit that made you feel like royalty.
"Y/N, you look so hot omg" bonnie spoke while she admired your outfit.
" Bonnie, you picked it out. So you might be a bit biased." you spoke quietly while doing a quick spin in the mirror.
"So, since it's a Mikaelson Ball, do you think you'll actually talk to the Kol guy. Who is definitely terrible for you but you'll go for it anyway." she giggled.
"Well, if he's there then yes I am going to talk to him, it's called being civil Bennett." you spoke as u looked at her and playfully pointed at her sat on her bed.
-flash forward-

You finally arrived and you saw everyone. You could see stefan and damon with elena. Caroline and Tyler. Even Jeremy showed up to accompany Bonnie of course. The scenery was something out of a movie. The staircase was beautifully wrapped with garland and the chandelier stained the marble floor with a champagne glow. You kept looking around, just in awe. Then Klaus approached you, so far you had only heard about him so you hadn't formed an opinion.
"Well, hello I have not seen before, allow me to introduce myself. I am Klaus." he spoke as he held his hand out for you to give him yours. You hesitated, yet gave in to be polite.
"I have heard about you, yet I won't let them form my opinion. I'm y/n." he brought you to the dance floor. oh god, you thought.
"Well, I must say someone of such immaculate beauty should never be unaccompanied. Allow me, dance with me?" He put his hand out again for you.
"I can't dance to save my life, but what's the harm." you obliged, you felt a bit bad. You just wished it was Kol. He had promised you a dance a month ago and still nothing.
Klaus laid his hand on your waist and brought your hand up to his shoulder. He brought you closer, and whispered "You do look absolutely breathtaking". You blushed, you just wished it was Kol saying those things.
"Thank you, Klaus. You seem a little nicer than some make you out to be." you spoke without making eye contact, just looking around for Kol.
You were finally met with Kol's glance. He was holding a glass of champagne, and looked angry. Oh goodness tantrum here we come, you thought. He walked over and tapped Klaus on the shoulder.
"Might I fancy a dance with this stunning.." Klaus cut him off by saying " Well of course brother." He looked at you while letting you go and whispering before he walked off " Save me a dance, love".
Kol took your hand and place them exactly how Klaus had. Then he did something unexpected. He kissed you, hard. You kissed back, after the shock left your body. You pulled back and looked at him.
"What exactly was that for?" you asked.
"Well, I didn't like his hands on you. I didn't want him to hurt you, like he has me." he spoke while gazing at you.
"Kol, I thought you didn't want them to know about us?" you asked while blushing from the kiss.
"When I saw you walk in looking as an angel. I threw all of that out of the window. I just needed everyone to know about you because I can't get enough of you." You just looked at him, watching his eyes trace your face.
"Listen to you, so charming. Still it's all just talk, would you actually tell everyone about me?" you believed he would but you still liked to challenge him.
"Alright then darling this way" he spoke quick while taking your hand toward the stairs. He walked you up them halfway then took a glass of champagne from
the man beside him. He clinked the glass with a fork, while looking around at everyone. he was not doing this, you thought while mentally cursing yourself.
"Everyone, I know we are all having a good time but I have an announcement to make." He spoke confidently.
You covered your eyes just to help from having to look at everyone.
"Now, I would like to introduce you y/n. Y/N, is the most beautiful person inside and out that I've ever met. I would do anything for you. So, I would like to ask you y/n.." He paused as you stared at him. You glanced down the stairs and saw elena and caroline gazing in horror. Bonnie was smirking. Klaus just looked confused, as well as Elijah. You looked back at Kol.
"Y/N, the time i have been able to spend with you has been the best out of all of my lifetime. The only thing I could think that would make it better is if you would be with me forever. So, Y/N will you marry me?"
You were so in shock you didn't know what to say. You looked at him while he pulled out a small box.
"Of course I will. I love you Kol Mikaelson"
He looked at you and it seemed as if he was tearing up. Everyone cheered. Bonnie was crying, she knew about you and the mikaelson. She always did, that's just her witch like nature. He slipped the ring on your finger, and kissed you gently.
