Amber's POV
Nina stood smiling and said
"Amber will you do the honour of being my maid of honour?" She asked
I glanced back at Patricia as she stood in silence with her fists getting tighter together but she smiled
"Why....Why me?"
"Your my best friend Amber you always have been"
"Fine" I said and she squeeled and walked inside and sat on the edge of my bed
"You will never guess where we are getting married !" Nina continued
"Where?" Patricia said sarcastically
"Florida. We are getting married in 6 weeks so six weeks in paradise!" "For all of us!" Nina said
"Amber your invited"
Patricia cleared her throat
"Oh your invited too" Nina said less enthusiastic
"So who is going" Patricia managed to say
"Me. Eddie. Joy. Jerome. Mick. Mara. Willow. KT. Kieran. Amber. Alfie. You"
"When are we leaving" I said
"Hopefully tomorrow" She said handing us tickets
"Pass the message on to Alfie please Amber!" "I've been so busy"
"Sure"
"See you later" She said heading for the door
"Oh. Almost forgot" She said taking off her leather jacket and handing it to Patricia
"Eddie said that was yours"
Patricia grasped it from her and she left
Patricia felt the fabric knowing it was hers. A note was hidden in the sleeve and it read Yacker.
I left the room knowing she would like some alone time
I returned a few minutes later to see Patricia sprawled on her bed clutching the note and her jacket and holding it close to her heart.
She started to cry and I went straight over to her and put my arm around her
