CHAPTER 1
*EDD'S POV*
I looked around my cell. Just a bed and.It's so boring and alone here.... Except for the office manager and the boss. I always get examined and tested on. It was so boring and alone. That changed one day. I heard the door open and 2 people talking. I noticed one straight away. The Boss.... But there was one voice I didn't recognize. I looked out my door, but couldn't see the new person because of the Boss in the way. Once the Boss had left I looked out my door and at the other room across from me. There was a guy... With orange looking hair and green eyes. I smiled. I wouldn't be alone anymore. "H-hello" I said a little nervous. He turned around and looked at me. "Hello there... I didn't see you" He said with a smile. "A-are you a.... A well... Not a monster but... A creature?" I asked. Anyone in a cell like me would be a creature like me. "..... Y-yes I am one..." He said looking away. "What are you then?" I asked. "I'm a...." He quietly said. "It's ok... You can tell me" I said. "I'm a vampire" He stated quickly. I smiled. "That's pretty cool... Uhmmm... What's your name?" I asked. "Oh... My name is Matt" He said. "Nice to meet you Matt, my name is Edd" I said happily. "What kind of creature are you Edd?" He asked. "Me?.... Oh yeah, I'm an angel" I said. "Aren't you suppose to have wings?" He said. "Yes... Mine are just under my clothes" I said. "That's awesome.... So what do we do in here?" He asked. "Well... They examine us, they test on us, they torture us, and they take blood samples every week" I said. His facial expression changed into a feared one. "T-they test on us?" He said nervously. "Yes... But don't worry it doesn't hurt" I said trying to comfort him the best way I can. "B-but it sounds painful... And do you even know what torture means!" He yelled. "Please be quiet.... Boss will do something if you yell" I warned him. "O-okay... But you promise it doesn't hurt" he said. "I promise" I said back. "Thank you, Edd" He said. "Your welcome, Matt" I said back. "We should talk more often... It was pretty lonely here without anyone" I said. "How long have you've been here, Edd?" He asked. "A year" I answered. "When do they let you out?" He asked again. I looked at him. "Never" I said. "They will never let us leave.. They will never leave us alone" I reapeted. "E-Edd? Are you ok?" He asked. "H-huh... Oh, I'm sorry Matt" I said. "It's ok Edd" he said with a smile on his face. I smiled back at him. The door opened slightly. Me and Matt looked out of our cells and looked towards the door. It was Metalia. He looked at me. "Looks like you got a new friend there" he said with a smile. "What do you want?" I asked. "I just need to borrow him for a minute" he said pointing to Matt. I looked over to Matt, and he stared at me. "It's ok" I whispered. He looked at me and nodded. Matt and Metalia left the room. I was sitting in the same position for probably about half an hour. Matt and Metalia walked back in, and Matt walked into his cell. When Metalia left I looked at Matt's cell. "How was it, Matt?" I asked. "You lied to me!!" He yelled. "W-what do you mean?" I asked. "It hurt like hell!!" He yelled louder. "I-I'm sorry Matt" I said. "No your not" he said. It sounded like he was crying. "Please, Matt, please forgive me" I said. "F-fine I'll forgive you" he said. "Thank you, Matt" I said happily. "We should get some sleep, Edd" He said. I nodded and headed for my bed and layed there staring at the ceiling. "Goodnight, Matt" I said. "Goodnight, Edd... I love you" he said. Did h-he just say he loves me? "I-I love you too, Matt" I said. I felt myself blush. I then heard a loud bang. "What was that!?" I heard Matt yell. "I don't know" I responded. My cell door suddenly opened. "Matt is that you!" I yelled. I looked out my cell door and saw Matt on the floor... Dead. I got on the floor on my knees. "M-Matt no!!" I yelled. "I-I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you" I yelled. I then heard someone yelling at me. "Shut up!!" It sounded like Metalia. I suddenly lifted up off my bed and screamed. I looked around my surroundings. It was all a dream. I looked at my cell door and saw Metalia. "Thank god you stopped yelling!" He said and left the room.
