Chapter 10

I delete all of Kevin & I photos from my social media accounts. I started crying looking at some of the photos, so the nurse brought me some tissues. I was still waiting on Liam to come, he still wasn't here & my sister Kelly was still at the doctor. I started to feel lonely and depressed. A knock on the door distracts me from my phone. "Come in," I say, and look back down at the phone. I stare at the last picture of me & Kevin. "I finally found you," Lucas says. I look up at him and freeze. "Are you ok?" He asks. I don't respond, I just stare. My heart starts beating faster. "Don't be scared. I came here to apologize about hitting you Blake. I am so sorry and I didn't mean it. I can't believe I hit you, and I'm going away to get help," Lucas says, and I notice he's crying. "I forgive you," I say. He looks up at me with the tears falling from his eyes. "I wish you the best of luck Lucas and I know you are gonna find a way to forgive yourself. You aren't a bad person," I say. I began to cry, again. I'm so tired of crying. I've been crying all day. "Please don't cry," Lucas says. " I'm sorry, I've been crying all day. It's been emotional," I say, laughing. He smiles and I offer him a tissue. He takes the tissue, blowing his nose.

"I have to be going now," Lucas says, and he gives me a hug. I hug him back and smile. I watch as he goes out of the door. Another weight was lifted off my shoulders, I felt like I could breathe. Liam comes through the door, and he gives me a kiss. I kiss him back and he pulls away. I smile and he smiles. "Have you been crying?" Liam asks. "Yeah, Lucas apologized," I say. Liam starts laughing. "What's funny?" I ask. "Nothing just forget it," he says. "Yeah whatever" I say, rolling my eyes.

"Come on. I didn't mean it like that," he says. I roll my eyes and look back at my phone. "I guess," I say. "I can't stay long. I have to fly back out to London tonight," Liam says. I frown. "Why?" I ask. "I have to finalize some things out there before I can officially move back to the United States," he says. "Okay, but hurry back," I say. "I want to ask you something first," Liam says, and he gets down on one knee.

"What are you doing?" I ask. "Blake, I know it's only been a few months, but I don't ever want to let you go again. I know you just got out of a bad marriage, but I'll treat you way better. I will give you whatever you desire. I just want you to be by my side forever. Will you marry me?" Liam asks, and I stare at him. "I don't know what to say... can I think about it?" I ask. "It sounds better than a no. Keep the ring as a reminder," he says, sitting the ring case next to my bed. He kisses me on the forehead and leaves.

I look over at the ring box and get mad. "How could he ask me to marry him when I just got out of a marriage?" I think to myself. I lay back down and turn my back from the ring.

I lay there until I fall asleep.

(The next day...)

"Good morning Blake," Kelly says, rubbing my arm. "Morning, what a peaceful way to wake up," I say. "It isn't the most effective. I've been rubbing for 10 minutes," she says, and we give a chuckle. "I just signed the discharge papers and everything is packed," Kelly says. "Did you pack my bag?" I ask. "Yeah, it wasn't a-lot. I have your phone and things, even this beautiful ass ring," she says. "Good, did you bring changing clothes?" I ask and she nods. Kelly hands me a blue dress and some dark brown sandals.

"All my friends left me," I say, putting on the dress. "Really?" Kelly asks, laughing. "Yeah and Liam proposed," I said. Kelly gasps and in walks the lawyer, Chace. "Engaged already?" Chace asks. "I didn't say yes," I said. "I wanted to tell you in person that Kevin signed the divorce papers. You are officially single," he says. I smile and Kelly laughs. "Finally," she says, and Chace laughs. "Is that all?" I ask, putting on my last sandal. "No, I also heard you were in a coma & I wanted to make sure you were okay," Chace says. I blush and Kelly chuckles. "I'm gonna go tell the driver to come around. I'm gonna text you when he's here," she says, and leaves the room.

"Your friend?" Chace asks, smiling. "My sister," I say, and giggle. "I see that you are okay, how are you feeling?" he asks. "I feel good, what about you?" I ask. " I've been good as well," he says. An awkward silence falls over us , and he starts laughing. His laughing causes me to start laugh, so we just laugh.

After the laughter dies down, I look him in his eyes and he looks back. He stares back with intensity and passion. I wanted to melt under his view. I step closer to him. He steps closer. I take another step towards him, and he does the same. When we are standing right in front of each other, we lean in to kiss. My phone starts ringing scaring us both, and I answer it.

"The car is here," Kelly says, and hangs up. "I have to go," I say, and try to walk past him. He reaches for my hand and turns me around. "Please let me take you out," Chace says. "Yeah, when?" I ask. "Thursday," he says, and I nod. He let's go of my hands and I leave.
