-5-"Man... This is getting awkward." Aedan said, scratching his head while slouching. "Should I walk out?" We were still at the party. More than 10 minutes have passed and we're still not moving an inch.
I couldn't think of anything else to say. No, it's not that I don't have something I want to say, it's just that I have so much I want to say that I can't really choose what to say first.
"Silent means yes." I only managed to face-palm at this.
"Finally. You remember now. That's relieving." But I can never deny that that's true.
He understands... I thought aloud. Such a man. I expected nothing less from Aedan! I'm just gonna go with the flow.
"I haven't even said anything." I said, putting on a pokerface.
"You already did." He countered, smiling victoriously. Wait, this isn't even a competition. It isn't even related.
"B-But—"
"I said good." This guy's starting to annoy me.
I was about to say something but he beat me to it, continuing his point. "Took you—what— like 5 hours?"
"Kidding. I was the guy who accepted your offering during the first night of the Spooky Night Event, remember?" He added.
"Nice kill!"
Huh? What offering?
"Nice KILLL!"
Oh..
Oh!?
"NICE KILL!"
"He was that one guy who caught your candle when you ran away from that closet game."
Whoever said that, thank you!
"Aedan, that was you?"
"Actually I'm Shawn."
... I was silent. I didn't know how to respond to that. Speechless, again.
I turned black and white at this. His tone was normal and American-ish so I was positive he was Aedan.
Silly me, thinking he was his own twin. Actually when I think about it more, Aedan is no different than Shawn in terms of appearances. But I can say for sure that these two also have differences. I just need to know what.
I was gonna get tired of this sooner or later so I did the unexpected.
I fell on my knees and crawled towards him, touching his foot while giving him my pleadingest eyes. "Tell me.. The... DIFFERENCE." I looked like I was snapping at him, I bet. But in reality, this was just my own way of saying "help me"
I do this all the time. Only when I really want to know something or when I'm begging for something, really. I did this once to Keir and it worked. The chocolate he gave me was super delicious.
