Hey guys! I'm back with another chapter! I'm sorry for updating after so long, but I had to get my glasses (yeah, your boy Author-Chan now wears spectacles).I was going through a lot lately, and some things were seriously bugging me, so that can be counted as another reason. Anyways, I don't want to keep y'all waiting, so let's get right into it!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.-
"What exactly has Rias told you about your family's history?" Asked Sirzechs.
"She told me that the (L/N) clan has a tendency to possess strong sacred gears" You replied.
"Is that all?" He asked.
"I don't recall her telling me anything more" You replied.
"Strange. But yes, that statement is indeed true, for the (L/N) clan has been famous for their inheritance of powerful sacred gears. Rias also informed me that you possess quite an affinity for magic, and that you have a rather powerful sacred gear. Would you mind if I take a look?" He said.
"No, not at all" You said.
You concentrated all your strength on your arm, and the black gauntlet formed on your hand. Sirzechs shifted uncomfortably in his chair, and broke a sweat. It had been a long time since you last summoned Xaimur's gauntlet, and as a result, it released a lot of energy, which was apparently a symptom. Training had made you a lot stronger, so that might've added on to the amount of energy released.

After a moment or two, Sirzechs moved forward and examined the gauntlet. He moved back and then said," If I'm not wrong, this Gauntlet houses a beast. More preferably, a dragon. Isn't that correct?"
"Indeed" You replied. Just at that moment, the hand started blowing and out spoke a voice which you hadn't heard in a long time,"Long time no see, partner!". It was Xaimur's voice, but something was different. He used to speak in a more graceful and professional manner, but right now his voice was completely cool and relaxed, something which you had not expected at all.
"I change over time to match the behavior of my wielder. Every single beast that exists within a Sacred Gear experiences this change, and I am no exception." He answered in your head, something which you had forgotten as well.
"I had only heard rumors about Xaimur riding in that Sacred Gear. Is that rumor true as well?" Sirzechs asked.
"I am Xaimur, the Dragon God of Creation and Destruction, the one who created the universe, time, and everything along along with it. I am the one true Dragon God, the one who created Ophis and the Great Red, the one who created angels, devils and demons, and the one who will end the universe once it reaches its age." The sacred gear spoke up.
"Very well then. What might be the special ability that is given to the wielder of the sacred gear?" Sirzechs asked.
"Special ability?" You asked. Suddenly you remembered- Issei's sacred gear gave him the ability to boost his strength, and apparently all strong Sacred Gears gave their wielders some sort of special ability which complimented the beast inside the sacred gear. This made you curious.
"I provide my wielder the abilities that would be most beneficial when slaying a dragon, and the special ability of transformation into a dragon itself." Xaimur replied.
"Why didn't you ever tell me this?" You asked Xaimur in your head.
"This is not the right time to answer your question, partner. I'll tell it to you some other time." He replied.
"So that means that you provide your wielder with Dragon Slayer Magic?" Sirzechs asked.
"That is partially correct. I provide my wielder with Dragon magic, which is far stronger than regular Dragon Slayer Magic." Xaimur replied.
"I see." Sirzechs replied. "Anyways, tell me (Y/N), do you have any memory of your grandfather?"
"I haven't ever seen him in my entire life. Dad used to say that he died before I was born." You replied.
"Do you know his name?" Sirzechs asked. Meanwhile, the gauntlet on your hand slowly started to disappear.
"Of coarse I do, his name was Trevor. Why?" You ask.
"Just as I thought. Your parents wanted to keep you out of all this, and so they lied to you. His real name was Jason, Jason (L/N), and he was actually a very well known person." Sirzechs said.
"What'd he do?" You ask him.
"He held the title of the strongest sorcerer in the Underworld for about 2 millennia, before dying a natural death. I might not look that old, but in reality, I've lived for more than 500 years, and I've seen him many times throughout my life. You see, your father and I used to be the bestest of friends when we were younger. Even then, his strength was awe inspiring. He held the title of Satan in his reign, and that's how the (L/N) clan became famous. The (L/N) clan was already pretty well off, but during his reign, they became so rich, so rich in fact, that tales of his wealth stretch as far as to the Human realm. He appeared throughout history using different aliases, such as Mansa Musa, William the Conquerer, John of Gaunt, and many more. I even served under him for about 2 decades, before his death. The place of Satan has since been unoccupied, for one has to be strong enough to beat the 4 Great Satans simultaneously to be properly called Superior to all." Sirzechs said.
"My dad was more than 500 years old?" You ask in shock.
"That might be surprising to hear, but we devils live very long lives, with the average Devil living for about 10,000 years, so 500 years really isn't that much for us." Sirzechs replied.
"And mom?" You ask him.
"Ah... Lisa, Lisa (L/N). She was an exceptionally powerful sorceress. Your father went on countless quests along with your mother, before eventually marrying. They inherited all your family's wealth, and could've lead comfortable lives, but yet decided to live their lives in the Human realm instead, for they wanted to keep you out of all this." He said.
"But why?" You asked.
"You see, as a devil gains strength, the amount of energy released by their aura increases as well. As a result, their presence starts threatening other species. Your grandfather, on the other hand, was able to hide his aura, which is quite a rare ability, as it takes a great amount of practice and patience. But on the other hand, when one leaves the spiritual realm and enters the human realm, the pressure exerted by their presence is decreased several fold and hence their location is not given off. Your parents, being overwhelmingly strong, having no other option, chose to live in the human realm, so that they could keep you safe from other entities. Unfortunately, they were still found, and so they died protecting you." Sirzechs replied.
"I thought they died in a car accident!" You exclaimed.
"Hehehehe........... Mathew and Lisa were just too strong to die from a car accident. Your entire house was invaded by innumerable Fallen Angels, but even then, they managed to defeat all of them to ensure your safety. Such a feat is really impressive. To be honest with you, your father was stronger than I was, and he actually gave up the position of Lucifer just so he could maintain his cover. " Sirzechs said.
"But then what about the family mansion?" You ask him.
"It still stands there, with the only residents in there being the maids of the Yukine clan, for that clan has sworn to remain under the (L/N) clan as the housekeepers. For context, the Gremory clan is served my the Lucifuge clan. " Sirzechs answered.
"Can I visit that place?" You ask, with a hint of excitement in your voice.
"Unfortunately, no. You have a Rating Game with Riser tomorrow, and so you should get proper rest. Perhaps after the match is over?" He said.
"But what if I die in there?" You asked him.
"People don't die in Rating Games. It's against the rules, and going against them will result in eternal shame for that particular clan. There is nothing to worry about. I wish you the best of luck, (Y/N). I'm eager to see Mathew's son fight." Sirzechs said.

In your assigned room, 1 hour later-
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Hey Xaimur, tell me, why did you ask me to stay quiet there?" You ask Xaimur in your head.
"Sirzechs is a master at reading minds and blocking others from reading his. I was able to block out our conversation, but your brain was pretty much exposed to him. Thankfully you didn't think something foolish, or you would've been done for it, partner." Xaimur answered.
"I see. Thanks for that, Xaimur. Now tell me, why hadn't you told me about this Dragon magic earlier?" You asked.
"Your body was too weak to perform that type of magic. Even trying to use that magic would've resulted in your death. I did it for your own benefit. But now, after the training, you've gotten much stronger. Don't let that compliment get on your head, however, for you shouldn't underestimate Riser. He was playing with you during the past encounter. This time, it won't be easy at all." Xaimur answered.
"I certainly won't. And thanks for scaring me." You answer.
"I'm not scaring you. It's just that you'll have to be cautious if you want to live, for Riser will not show any mercy towards anyone."

You hear a knock on the door.
"Come in!" You shout.
The door opens and Kiba enters the room, and immediately says,"We're going to plan for the Rating game first thing in the morning. Be prepared at 8 a.m. sharp. And use this alarm clock." Kiba gives you a red coloured alarm clock. "It is set at the Devil realm time, so use this one. Also, Rias said that she wanted to say something to you, so you'll have to arrive 15 minutes earlier. That's all"
"Thank you." You said, and closed the door.

You take the clock and check the alarm settings. The alarm was set to ring at about 6:30. The alarm clock was manual rather than digital, which meant that setting an alarm was a piece of cake. You changed the alarm settings to 5 a.m., so that you could complete your work out AND have enough time to get ready. You kept the alarm clock at the bedside table, checked the time, which was currently 7:00 p.m.

"You really should get some rest, partner. Tomorrow will pretty much decide your future." Xaimur said.
"You can see the future, can't you?" You ask him.
"The Future keeps changing as per people's choices. It never remains consistent. And besides, I'm not supposed to reveal anything to you." Xaimur said.
"Fine, I will. But not before eating Royal food!" You exclaimed.

After all, it would be your big day tomorrow.

Boy, doesn't it feel good to write after this long! Again, I'm extremely sorry for the huge delay, but as I said, I had to get my spectacles.  This chapter was probably boring, but I just had to write it to develop some character background. And besides, the next chapter is gonna be filled with action, and I can't wait to write it! As I always say, please tell me whether you liked the story or not till so far, and you are free to tell me about any suggestions/ideas. Please also tell me if you get across any spelling or grammatical errors in the comments. Anyways, I'll try to write sooner, but until then, bye-bye!
