Words On Marbles

The Train Ride.

I knew the day has been weird to begin with but I couldn't help craving for a ride on the train. I had to find my way to the train station somewhere in Borokiri Lagos, Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. In the next two hours or there about, the train was full and set to leave.

I was so excited, finally, I was taking a ride on the train. I was going to the most industrious and rowdy city of Aba. Don't ask me what I was going to do there because I definitely didn't have the slightest idea!  😏😏

As I embarked on this amazing journey, I couldn't help but stare at the window. The view out there seemed perfect. Finally, I had embarked on one of my most wanted train ride adventure and my first trip was made to Aba. 😂😂😂

My music was so loud that it could burst my eardrums but no one could hear it... You know why?

I had my headphones on.

All of a sudden, I had to write a journal! I brought out my pen and notepad and began to write. I had brought some snacks with me just in case I got bored as the journey progressed - a huge packet of strawberry cookies and a bottle of sprite. I was writing about my hopes of meeting him in person anytime soon. After writing, I looked up and there he was, standing beside me, smiling right at me. He was too good to be true!

For real! It was a train ride from Port Harcourt to Aba, where could he have come from?' I asked myself.
I had to change my staring direction and I was staring at the window but there was no reflection of him on the mirror.

Weird huh?!

I looked towards his direction again and he was still there. Blonde hair, brown eyes and a cute curve across his face... He was still smiling at me! I kinda felt embarrassed as I lowered my eyes. At that moment, the song on my playlist was Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars and the lines where

🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎼🎼🎼

"And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while "

I couldn't help it, I had to smile back.

Before I could even realize what was happening, a friend of mine from a long time ago walked up to me and snapped me back to reality!

Girl, you're smiling like an idiot!'she said.

It was then I realized that my music had gotten the best of me and there was actually no one next to or behind me! It was just me smiling at my imagination and my imagination smiling back at me!!!

Lol!!!  I know I'm CRAZY... Thank you!! 😂😂😂😂
