Why Do We Let Go?

                                              Sometimes, we feel that life is so unfair 
Every word we hear is either a reminder or a random thought of why we are here. 
We feel the need to give up on everything 
When we think there's no more light for us to see. 
                          Why do we let go? 
                          When treasures are hidden deep down within the earth's crust 
When tunnels are dark and it gives us a fright. 
When hopes are part of one's broken dreams 
And the pains are only what we feel. 

                          Why do we let go? 
                          We trend this world alone, 
Always thinking of where to go. 
Trying to avoid our past mistakes, 
We still get cutup in that which we crave. 
                          Why do we let go? 
                          Afraid of what the world may think 
Afraid of what its outcome will be
Afraid to make a move or fail
Afraid of the choices we make. 
                          Still why do we let go? 
Can't we just sit down and think of a new prospective? 
Can't we forget our fears and face reality? 
Can't we just look beyond what life is and is not? 
                          Why do we let go? 
                          Still unspoken words straight from the heart ... 
But why then do we let go? 
                          A question with no concrete answer!
