Finn POV

As the sun started lowering, the light disappearing, and our cave darkening, Fontaine and I sat at the edge of the lagoon where our clam was. Everything had been perfect, somehow she had sneaked in some sandwiches and we had an in-cave picnic. Her natural glow was amazing, she was radiant. My father knew I was with her, but he had no idea where we were. The clam had even opened, and we took some photos inside. I loved the way her eyes sparkled when she saw something she liked. It was more or else like five o'clock, and I knew our date was coming to an end. We kissed many times, and we hugged even more times. I loved the way she relaxed in my arms, how she smiled when we were eye-to-eye. Fontaine was now facing me, a smile in her face, but her smile turned into a frown when she saw my cut.

"What was his name?" I asked softly, knowing that it would be correct for us to have this conversation.

"Alpheus Benthos... He is extremely dangerous, and he won't stop until he takes our home. He has done the unthinkable against us... Please be careful from now on. He sees you as an enemy, he will stop at nothing to get what he desires... Lemuria and me... That is what he wants" Fontaine said as she sighed deeply. Her eyed fell and their usual shine was far lower. She was sad, and I didn't liked my Fontaine being sad. And he wanted my girl? In his dreams!

"I won't let him take you, and I want us to be official so... Will you, Fontaine Nekton, take this dumb wannabe pirate boy named Smiling Finn, as your adorable and loyal boyfriend?" I asked Fontaine with a small grin in my face.

"I love you Pirate Boy, of course I want us to be a couple!" Fontaine yelled as she threw herself into my arms. Making me fall flat into the floor with her on top.

"Good... I love you more Fontaine. More than I could ever imagine. And this guy, Alpheus, he wont stand a chance against me" I told Fontaine as she laughed and kissed the tip of my nose with a small peck.

That was when we heard a weird noise outside of our cave. We didn't wanted anyone finding this place, it was well hidden, but people could still find it. Fontaine slowly crawled backwards, a bit of fear in her eyes, but mostly worry.

"Come on, I will check" I said as I got up, took my diving gear, got it on, and leaped.

Fontaine had followed me, she had her own diving mask on, and her face was serious, almost somber. She was a good swimmer, and I noticed that she was holding back. Previously I had seen her swim her best, she had such quick legwork, she had been trained by her father. And him being a golden medalist, well, it was obvious she was better than everyone I knew, except her father of course. We swam for a few minutes, we were quick, but not our quickest. And that was when I saw it, Apheus' submarine. I figured he had followed me or tracked me, all to find Fontaine or the Aronnax. I frowned deeply, and decided to face Fontaine. Call me weird and stalker, but Fontaine had never exposed such serious and angry expressions before. And believe me, I have seen both sides of her from up close.

"Come on" I told Fontaine as I pulled her.

"Where are we going?" she asked in a low voice.

"Leaving, this way he won't find our cave, and I will not hold myself back if he tries to hurt you. Alright?" I told Fontaine as I tried to smile.

"Okay rough guy, lead the way" Fontaine said as she chuckled and followed me.

There was a high possibility of Alpheus looking for us without using his tech. After all, he did seemed cocky the moment we fought. He was too focused on impressing others, he was like a child wishing for attention. His cocky smile and purple hair were things I would never forget. Clearly he wasn't born with purple hair, and Fontaine's favorite color is purple, coincidence? I think not! The route we took in order to avoid his prying eyes was through a small patch of a corral which also had tall rocks and all types of marine plants. We were good swimmers, and all we wanted was  to get away from the creepy bastard.
