Chapter 20

~Bea's POV~
Jonah and I pulled up to the Why Don't we house and we headed inside. We stood at the door as Jonah fumbled through his keys trying to unlock it.
"Hey, don't be nervous. It's just Zach." He told me as he squeezed my shoulder gently. I nodded. When we finally got the door open, I saw Zach standing in the kitchen, with a girl sitting on the counter in front of him holding his hands.
"I was stupid to come." I sighed before turning around and walking out.
"Bea!" Jack exclaimed when he saw me as I came out of the house.
"Hey." I mumbled as I wiped a tear off of my cheek and rushed off.
"Woah, woah, woah- what's wrong?" He asked as he grabbed me by the arm.
"Nothing." I replied turning my face away to where he couldn't see it. He put two fingers on my chin and moved my face to where he could see me.
"Bea, why're you crying?"
"I came back to try to fix things with Zach but apparently he's moved on." I sighed. Jack was holding my hand by now. We just stood there for a minute.
"Jack I just want to go. I don't wanna be anywhere near him right now." I said.
"Okay, just come with me to get my stuff and we'll go." He told me. I nodded. We went up to his bedroom where he grabbed his keys and a jacket.
"Did you not bring a jacket?" He asked. I shook my head. So he grabbed another one and handed it to me.
"Thanks." I half smiled.
"No problem." He replied. He took my hand again and led me back down the stairs and outside. Soon, I got a text from Jaden.
J- Hey bb. I gotta tell you something when you get the chance
B- What's up?
J- I know you left with Jack, just a heads up- he and Kailei are still together.
B- Yeah I know. He's taking me back to Logan's- I wouldn't do that to Kailei
J- I know you wouldn't, just making sure everything was good💕
"Hey, you can actually just drop me off here." I told him.
"What? C'mon, Logan's is like a block away." He replied.
"I really just wanna walk. Clear my head. Thanks for the ride." I said as he pulled over. I got out of the car and started walking off. I got down the road a ways then got a text from Jack.
J- Hope you didn't think I was trying to come on to you or anything. I wouldn't do that to Kailei. Just trying to be a friend.
B- No I know. I just don't really feel like being with people right this second. I'm sorry I was rude.
I put my phone up and went into a convenience store where I bought a soda. After that, I texted Brendan.
Be- Hey. Think you can pick me up?
Br- Where you at?
Be- The convenience store on Grant.
Br- Grant??? What the heck are you doing there???
Be- Bren please. I really just need you.
Br- Don't worry. I'm already on this side of town. I'm headin over
Be- Thank you
I sat down on the bench and scrolled through my phone. Old pictures of Zach still filled my camera roll. I couldn't bring myself to delete them.
"Bea?" I heard a voice ask. I looked up and saw Brendan towering over me.
~Brendan's POV~
She looked up at me, eyes filled to the brim with tears just waiting to escape. She stood up and I pulled her into a hug quickly. It was obvious she needed one.
"Hey, you're okay. Shhh. You're okay." I told her as she began to cry and I began to stroke her hair.
"C'mon, let's go to the car." I told her. She nodded slightly. So I got her to the car and we headed off.
"What happened?" I asked.
"I went back to try to fix things with Zach. But he had another girl." She explained.
"Wait, didn't he kiss you at the airport?" I questioned. She nodded. I sighed and headed to the house. When we got there, we went inside and she went to her room.
~Bea's POV~
"Bea Bea Bea Bea boo, I'm headin to brother jakey's house to prank him- wanna come?" Logan asked as he walked in.
"Imma stay here and hold he fort down. Thanks tho." I replied.
"No worries." He smiled before leaving. Once they were gone I sat in the living room to watch tv. Soon, the doorbell rang. I got up and headed to the door. When I opened it, I saw Daniel standing there with chipotle and grape Fanta (which is my favorite). A smile immediately spread across my face as I engulfed him in a hug.
"C'mon, lets eat before it gets cold." He told me. I nodded and we headed to the kitchen.
"How much?" I asked him as I pulled out my wallet.
"Nope."
"Dani- how much do I owe you?"
"Nothing." He said again as he got closer to me and took my wallet and sat it on the counter. We sat at the island and ate our chipotle.
"Logan's gone planking Jakey- I dunno how long he'll be." I told him.
"Oh I texted him- he said him and a couple friends are going clubbing then staying at a hotel for the night."
"Oh- I bet Lydia's coming then." I concluded.
"Nope. He said I could stay over with you if you wanted tho." He explained.
"Sure." I smiled and shrugged. After we finished our chipotle, we went and sat on the couch, and I turned on Hallmark Christmas movies.
"These are so cheesy!" Daniel protested.
"Oh c'mon I know you love them. Don't worry tho I won't tell anyone." I chuckled.

Daniel grabbed the remote and turned the tv off.
"Hey!" I exclaimed.
"I like you Bea." He blurted out.
"I like you too." I replied.
"No. Like I want to be with you. I want you to be mine." He told me.
"Really?"
"Yes really."
"I want that too." I smiled. He smiled his toothy smile back at me and next thing I knew his lips were on mine.
"You have no idea how long I've waited to do that." He chuckled, pulling away slightly. I couldn't help but giggle. He pulled me into a hug and we laid down like that. I could hear his heart beating.

I woke up and looked at the time. It was only 7 pm.
"Hey sleepy head." Daniel smiled when he saw I was awake. "I was just thinking that we should go get some ice cream."
"We have some here." I replied. So we got up and went into the kitchen. We decided what kind of ice cream we wanted then I grabbed our bowls out.
"Wanna go swimming?" I asked.
"Sure." He shrugged.
"Imma go get ready." I replied. So I went up to room and found my favorite swimsuit and put it on then put on one of Logan's shirts over it before going into the bathroom and grabbing two towels.
"Ready?" I asked Dani as I hugged him from behind.
"Yep." He replied. I took his hand in mine and we went out the back door. Once we got out there I took Logan's shirt off and sat it and the towels down on the lawn chair.
"C'mon gorgeous." Dani said as he took my hand in his. He jumped in but I just laughed and took the stairs.
"C'mon! Just jump in!" He told me.
"No way! It's cold!"
"No it's not!"
"Imma turn the heaters on." I said before getting out and turning the water heaters on.
"Now will you jump in?" He asked. I sighed and ran and jumped in. I swam over to him and he grabbed me by my waist.

We swam for a couple hours then decided to head inside.
"I'm gonna jump in the shower." I told Dani.
"Alrighty, I'll be here." He replied. I smiled at him then headed to the bathroom.
~Daniel's POV~
While Bea was in the bathroom, I went to the other bathroom and changed into some sleeping pants and I towel dried my hair. Once that was done, I sat on the couch. Then I got a text from Corbyn.
C- Yoyoyo, all the girls are in town- you and Bea come over for truth or dare?
D- She's in the shower rn but I'll ask when she comes out.
C- How'd things go???
D- Perfect!
C- Good job dude!
I put my phone up just as Bea came to the balcony on the stairs.
"Hey, Corbyn just texted me and asked if we wanna come over to play truth or dare since all the girls are in town." I told her.
"Sounds fun." She smiled.
"Let's head over there then." I replied as she came down the stairs. She came up behind me and wrapped her arms around me.
"C'mere." I told her. I picked her up and sat her on the counter and began to kiss her.
"Babe, we gotta get goin." She chuckled after a few minutes. I picked her up and we headed out to the car. I got into the driver's seat and she sat in the passengers seat.
~Bea's POV~
As Daniel drove, he had his hand on my thigh and I had mine on his. It wasn't a very long drive over there since they only live a couple blocks away. When we got there, Dani turned off the car and looked over at me.
"What?" I chuckled.
"You're so freaking gorgeous." He smiled. I chuckled and pulled him into a kiss. I guess we were there a bit longer than they would've likes cause Jack and Corbyn and Jonah came out and shined flashlights in our faces.
"Screw you!" I shouted jokingly. We got out of the car and headed inside.
