No one's Pov

When they learned that Rika was going to die, Rei and his parents lost all hope.  Their love was going to die.  His sister.  Their daughter.  Everything was so dark.  They didn't realize that she was their light until she was going to be gone.

"Dear?  Why were we blinded why what wasn't important? Why did we push our children to be perfect?  If, if we actually let them enjoy their childhood, do you think this would have happened to our baby girl?  If we watched them grow up, do you think we would have then noticed that something might be wrong and could have saved her in time?"  Rika's mom asks her husband.

"I don't know why.  I should have let her grow up happily and not stopped her love of music.  I don't know if she blames us, or if she is happier where she is right now than when she lived by herself.  But I think that if we did let her grow up happy, then perhaps this wouldn't have happened."  He tells her deeply regretting that he let their foolish beliefs ruin their daughters childhood.  And to think, that they can't even make her happy anymore even though they now realize their mistakes.

"Mom, dad, I don't think Rika would blame you two.  She has always loved you both, it's just that she really wished that you would pay more attention to her and let her enjoy singing.  She always wanted you to praise her like you did for me."  Rei looks at his parents before looking down as a memory come to mind.

Young Rei is being praised by tutors and his parents for how smart he is and how he managed to understand something complicated that even an adult has a hard time figuring out.  He is surrounded by everyone was is happy, yet something caught his attention from the corner of his eye.  There, his little twin sister Rika stood looking at them off in the distance.  She made no attempt to approach but stared at them with sadness.  Then she turns and walks away.  No one but him noticed her that day, and it was then he started to realize that Rika was jealous and sad that their parents only paid attention to him so he started to help her to understand what she couldn't.

"Rei, I heard that you sister isn't well.  What happened to her?" Kaito suddenly appears and asks him.  He naturally heard what happened to Rika and which is why Rei isn't in the research lab so he came by to check out what is going on.

"The doctor doesn't know.  Her body is perfectly healthy and they cannot find anything wrong with her.

"Rei, maybe if it's alright you and your parents, there could be a way to cure her."  Kaito begins slowly after a minute.

"What do you mean?"  The twins dad asks Kaito.

"Well sir, with all that's been going on in Rei's life, I'm not surprised he already forgot."  Kaito begins slowly.

"What did I forget?"  Rei asks confused.

"Remember our latest research topic?  That we were recently trying to figure out a way to cure anything and everything?"  Kaito says.

"Wait, you mean-?"  Rei begins, "I did forget, but even then we aren't even close to having it close to perfection."

"That's why I say that this could be a way." Kaito begins.  "If we use this drug prototype on Rika, I know it will at least keep her alive for a little while longer.  However though it might temporary keep her alive, there's no guarantee though, and there is no way she will wake up.  She will still stay asleep however if we are lucky and she remains alive until we perfect this medicine, then her life will be saved.  At the same time, this will also be like a poison to her body.  We don't know what the aftereffects of taking the prototype may be." Kaito explains to them in a silent room where only they are in with Rika nearby.

"..."

No one was sure what to say.  However surprisingly it was Rika's mother who spoke up first.

"You say there can be a possibility of her being cured right?  And that she won't die right now if she takes this drug medicine?"  She asks hesitatingly.

"Yes.  I know this much that if she takes this, then she won't die right away but we cannot know when she could possibly die at the same time.  If she does take the prototype she will have to be moved to the research lab in secret.  No one can know about what we are doing because they will say it is unsafe and stop our research since it isn't perfect and we are not sure completely what the effects are."  Kaito explains that if Rika is given the drug, the government might try to stop them since it isn't tested yet and they don't know the effects.

"Alright, then I'll leave my daughter in your hands," she say bowing towards Kaito.  "Please, at least try to save our daughter, no matter what the cost we are willing to do and risk anything and everything as long as she doesn't die."  Her husband also bows his head towards Kaito.

"Even if this doesn't work, we will be grateful that you have tried." He also gives his permission to Kaito.

"Well Rei?  Are you going to quit moping around and come back to work?  We are going to be busier than ever now that we are going to try to save your sister and figure out the effects of the medicine to cure everything?"

"Alright, let's go." Rei says serious while looking at his sisters pale calm sleeping face.  He makes a vow to save her.  Even if all odds are against him, he will save her.  He has to.

The next day, there is news about Rika's" death."  The family perfectly planned out the whole event to make sure no one figures out what is going on.  A fake body was created by the research lab and from there, they were going to soon hold a funeral for her.

"This isn't the end, it's the beginning for us all.  To come up with a way to save Rika and use her to create the unlimited cure that can cure anything.  I will save you Rika.  This I swear on my life."  Rei tells to himself determined as he stands in the research lab and looking at his sister who is now being injected with the prototype cure.  The race against time and fate begins now.

Ling:  And done! Hahaha, I'm not going to kill her off so easily, but what happens to Rika's body next will decide on what you all want.  I won't ask you this right now however from now on until when I decide it is the right time I'll ask you all to vote on what you want to happen.  *Sighs*  It's raining right now which is making things so depressing and also making me very sleepy. *Yawns*  Well please vote and comment everyone!  ^ ^
