Drew Walton stood in front of the mirror, staring at her brown locks. She ran a hand through her freshly cut hair. The edges were uneven, since she had used her kitchen scissors and with no thought chopped at least two inches off. She did it as if it was a regular Tuesday evening thing to do. Econ class Check. Do the dishes. Check. Cut her hair. Check. Check.

She stared blankly at her reflection and smiled at the result of her act of rebellion. She wanted something. Something that she could do to prove that maybe she wasn't the 'good girl' everyone thought her to be. Maybe even something to outdo  Sammy's crazy antics, which was of course ridiculous. No one could outdo Samantha Walton. Her twin sister. Her womb-sharer. Her supposed built-in-bestfriend. Was in no way anything close to Drew Walton despite their mirrored features. The same blue eyes, slightly crooked noses and thin lips.  The only difference between them, which made Sammy the "hot twin", was Sammy's blonde hair and faint freckles which were clustered on her nose and cheeks.

Drew hadn't spoken to Sammy in at least over a year. Not after what she had done. And if Drew was stubborn, Sammy was even more stubborn. So Samantha never called to talk or break the ice  after Drew had refused to accept her apology. That was that. Days turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months.  There was no conversation between the two of them. She only had updates once her mother called her every once in a while.

She thought back to years earlier and praised her decision to go to a seperate college than her sister. In hindsight if the two of them had the fight while staying at the same college. It would be harder to ignore her. Samantha had it planned it all out;  they would be roommates, she would again find them a friend group like she did when they were in high school, and Drew would be most likely glued to Samantha's side the whole four years. She was tired of always coming in a pair. So once she got admitted to her dream school, she last minute unenrolled. Samantha was furious, but even then they had still spoken to one another. Maybe Drew would have forgiven Samantha, if she had been the one to call and apologize.

Now Samantha was back to her antics. She had gotten the slew of frantic text messages from her mother that evening, while she was walking back from her last class before break.

Has Sammy contacted you?

Her flight was supposed to have landed.

I'm really worried.

Drew called her mother and reassured her that it was most likely Samantha had flaked and decided to go to a tropical island with her friends instead of back home. This summer Samantha hadn't been home once.

Even though Drew was positive that Sammy was fine, she wasn't sure. She felt a rush of worry run through her. She laughed out nervously. She's fine. But then again, would Sammy really change her mind without informing their mother? Maybe her anger had clouded her thoughts because suddenly everything was not making sense. Oh my gosh. She stood up panicked from her position on the floor. Her snippets of hair littered on the ground. Her eyes widened as she swallowed. Sammy would have told their mom, if she were to go on impromptu vacation or whatever antic she had planned. Pacing back and forth. She tried to calm her nerves. Her breath was getting shallower. Her heart racing. Tears pricked at the corner of her eyes.

No time for this. I need to do something.

She plugged in the address of Samantha's college. It was around a ten hour drive. She ran into her room stuffing clothes in a duffle bag, quickly cleaned up her hair,  and sent a message to her roommates informing them of her situation. She drove for ten hours straight, no breaks. She was on a adrenaline rush. Fear and panic coursing through her.

By the time she reached. Her whole body ached from the continuous sitting position. Tears were streaming down her face. Her thoughts running wild. She knew overthinking wouldn't do anything, but make her frantic. She needed to stay calm. She took a breath and popped a piece of gum in her mouth.

Her legs felt like jelly as she stepped out of the car. She balanced herself on the hood of the car, leaning against it for support. Her head was throbbing. She called her roomate, Grace. She had promised that she would update her as soon as she could.

"Hey." Grace said. "Did you find her?" She asked. Worry dripping from her voice.

"I just reached." Drew said quietly.

"Everything is going to be okay. Don't worry." Grace consoled. Drew wasn't sure.

"Maybe." She replied. "Look, I will call you later. I'm going to try to find her room." She said.

"Bye. Good luck." Grace said before Drew hung up.

Drew started to walk,  trying to navigate the huge campus. She figured that the main building was in the center, there maybe she could figure out a way to gain access to Sammy's building. She held her cardigan close to her, her teeth chattering. She forgot it was colder here. She wasn't used to the cold.

"Drew?"
