It went on and on, complete never ending darkness. But I have to keep running, I have to get out. I want to keep running, to see them again - I feel like I have to.
I reached out my right arm far ahead of me. "Mumma!!" I screamed, voice strained and filled with pain. "Where are you?!" My voice echoed. Laughter erupted around me from every direction, above and below. The light ahead of me grew dim. "Father!!" I shrieked. "Don't go!! Come back to Becaon!!"
"Little girl," a girl laughed.
"What's wrong with her?" Another mumbled.
"Leave her be," a boy sounded angry. "She's just a kid."
"Yeah. Let her have some friends," another boy said.
The voices faded off into the laughter as I began to cry. My legs became harder to move with each step. I didn't want to be left alone. My father would come back soon.
"Don't be so cold, Natalia." A man said kindly.
"Argento, it's winter! The child is probably freezing outside!" A woman said agrily.
"Heh. Says her mother." The man spoke. The voices once again faded off.
I felt like I was suffocating as my tears began to choke me. "Please come back to Beacon... mumma is always in Atlas..." the space shattered and I fell away from the light.
"You look freezing. Get inside right now," an older man said. "I promised to care for you while they're gone, but you shouldn't wait in the snow."
I was surrounded by heat just like fire. However, my heart still felt cold and frozen inside. In an instant, I was suddenly surrounded by dread and screamed, wanting to get away. There was no one who loved me while my parents were away. I felt a piercing pain in my heart.

I woke up in my bed, face wet with tears. Slowly sitting up, the hollowness and dread in my chest became heavier. The door to my room opened and there was a worried Professor Ozpin hurrying across the room.
He kneeled next to my bed. "Natalia, are you alright? What happened?"
"I... had that dream again," I whispered, not looking at him.
He stared at me for a few minutes as we drew out the silence. He sighed. "Alright. Come on, let's go to the study," he stood up and helped me out of bed.
We walked across the grey carpet and out the door, walking to another and opening it. There were four clocks in the study - one representing Vale. The others represented Atlas, Mistral, and Mantle. In the middle of the dark room was a black, grand piano. It was waiting for me yet again.
Ozpin closed the door behind us and put a hand on my shoulder. "... go on," he said quietly. "It'll ease you. Like always."
I nodded and walked over to it, floor cold against my bare feet. I opened the lid, propping it up, pulled up the music stand until it clicked, and opened up the lid for the keys, removing the deep red felt strip of fabric covering them. I sat down, put my left foor on the pedal farthest left, and my other on the farthest right.
Queit and dragged.
Taking a deep breath, I softly played a scale. The piano was in tune. Moving slowly, my hands glided across the keys, tapping notes gently until a song could be pieced together. Ozpin walked over to the window seat behind me and sat down, staring down at the front of Beacon Academy. I closed my eyes as my hands began to fly across the keys, striking up a memory in my heart. A smile filled my face.
"You always love to play piano..." Ozpin murmured when I'd finished. I looked at him as he did the same for me. "... better?"
I nodded. "... yeah."
