Colby POV
Best friends are very special people in your life. Best friends are people who make your problems their problems, just so you don't have to go through them alone. Best friends understand you, believe in you and love you for who you are. I started to fall in love with my best friend. The person who made me believe in love. My best friend is Sam but I lost him.
Saturday nights are supposed to be filled with joy but I'm in my bedroom snuggled up in my blanket staring at my ceiling. So much has happened in the last few weeks. I still haven't fully processed everything. Everything went so fast that it was like I was frozen in time but everything around me was not. Tears fall down my cheek. It's just memories sneaking out of my eyes and rolling down my cheeks. Things may end but memories last forever. I just miss Sam, that's all.
There's no Sam and Colby anymore. It's just Colby now. A broken Colby.
I kept staring at my ceiling until I heard my phone beep. I checked it and saw that I had a notification from Brennen. I opened it up.
Brennen: dude, what are you doing
Me: nothing much. Just chilling in my bedroom.
Brennen: wanna go out or something.
Me: not really sorry
Brennen: fine then I'll come over to you house and keep you company. I can't have Colby sulking away in his bedroom on a perfect Saturday night. I'll be there in 20 minutes.
Colby: see ya soon.
I got up cleared my room a bit. I was about to go downstairs so I could open the door when Brennen comes when suddenly Brennen comes rushing into my bedroom. " Corey let me in" he said. " oh cool" I replied. "What shall we do?" Brennen asked. " idk." I spoke. " let's watch a movie" he spoke. " sure" I replied. Most of the night we watched movies and ate popcorn. Sam's voice echoed through my head. "Everything happens for a reason"
