Elaine jumped up from the bench and wrapped her arms around the blonde guy before kissing him. Turning my head away I acted like I was checking out my new surroundings. Feeling eyes on me I turned back and forced a smile on my face.
"This is my new friend, Amnesty." Elaine pulled me up to my feet, "Her and her twin sister, Amethyst, are starting here today. This is actually the first school that they've ever attended. Isn't that cool?"
The blonde guy looked me over, "Hey, I'm Eaven. Everyone around here seems to like to call me Heaven though." He held out his hand.
Slowly shaking it I didn't really know what else to do. It wasn't like I could just introduce myself again, Elaine had already done that for me. Eaven turned from me back towards Elaine. Carefully he tugged on her arm and pulled her away leaving me standing there with everyone else that I didn't know.
"So where are you moving from?" Another blonde guy asked me, "I'm Reid by the way. Reid Chase."
Nodding I let go an unsteady breath, "We moved down from New York City. My Dad wanted to be closer to his boyfriend so my sister and I were dragged along."
Reid nodded his head and looked back, "Daemon, come over here." He called back towards someone, "Come meet a new student that just came here from New York City." He smirked, "Who would move down to Fincastle from the big city?" He asked himself with a smirk.
The boy he referred to as Daemon stepped next to him and immediately I was taken aback. He had dark hair with piercing blue eyes. His hair fell down over his eyes making him seem a bit more mysterious than he probably was. Looking over his outfit it seemed that the only color he had was black since that was the entirety of his outfit. Black converse, black skinny jeans, and a black pull-over sweatshirt. On his right hand there was a single ring on his ring finger. Taking in every little aspect of him it felt like if I took my eyes off of him then he would disappear forever. Something that in those few seconds I didn't want to ever happen.
"Amnesty, we should get you inside and find Evyn." Elaine broke through the cloud that was forming around my brain.
Hearing a difference in her voice I looked all around us. Suddenly three more groups were coming towards us. Daemon and Reid turned away from me as Elaine grabbed my arm and pulled me over to the side away from the merging crowds. Staring at them, it was like something huge was going to happen.
Daemon stepped forward and he seemed to somehow get darker, "You two aren't suppose to be here. It isn't exactly your time."
"We're just here to introduce ourselves to the new student." The tallest one looked at me and winked, "Trying to show some school spirit. Can't stop me from doing that, Daemon. You don't control me."
Reid stepped in front of Daemon and balled his fists, "Macklin, you need to get out of here. We don't want a repeat of last week when we kicked your ass, now do we?"
