I wake up, panting with beads of sweat running down my face.
It was a nightmare, thank goodness for that. I sigh and go to the bathroom where I splash my face with cold water, it's 5 am. I always wake up at this time because of my nightmares. Of course I never told anyone including my parents and my brother.
I pick up a teal backpack which is hanging behind my doorframe and pack it with a few things I'll need for hiking. I love a good nature walk, the birds are chirping and sun is rising at this time and if you angle it perfectly, it could look like heaven on earth, magical and mythical. Of course there's no such thing as magic and vampires, werewolves or fairies. It's just a bunch of stories so people can entertain themselves.
I walk downstairs, careful to not wake my mom and brother up. I take a water bottle and head out the back door, over a fence and into a forest. I begin hiking up a small mountain. I live in Wyoming, USA.
We moved here like 2 weeks ago ago from Canada and school will start tomorrow.
I start thinking about my nightmare. I always get one nightmare over and over again. And when we moved here, it continues a little. It's like the decisions I make in life, reveals something in my night mare.~flashback to nightmare~
I run through the forest, panting, and as I go deeper a powerful sorrow fills me. But it's not just sorrow, it's anger, and it feels like I'm missing something or rather have lost something or someone very dear to me. I go deeper and deeper. Until I come across a huge tree, under it is a boy, he has his back to me. All of a sudden I burst into tears for no reason. I open my mouth to call the boys name. But I don't know it.
I step closer to him but I step on a branch and he notices. He slowly turns around and I see the side of his cheek and long, thick eyelashes.
Then, there's a booming sound, possibly an explosion from the town. I turn back to the boy who is now sprawled on the ground from the impact. His dirty blonde hair cover his face so I'm unable to see it fully. All I can see is lips and cheeks.
Then it all slips away and I wake up.
~End of flashback~I go to the top of the mountain and stare at the sun which is slowly rising. I hear a branch break behind me and I whip around swiftly. There stands a boy with dark hair and attracting yet alert blue eyes. "Who are you?" I ask, curiosity lacing my voice. "Who are you?" He asks, ignoring my question. "I asked first, answer me." I say sternly
"I asked second," He says shrugging. Why is he so cool with this?
I sigh. "Fine don't tell me. I'm leaving anyways." I start back down the trail not giving a single glance back. He seems smart, witty, brave and curious and hell.
I walk back home, I glance down at my watch. 6:30 am, it reads.
I open the door and quietly sneak back to my room. I lay down again in my bed, lazily.
I wonder what that guys name was? Will I see him again? Is he in the high school I'm going to?
So many questions and there's no one to answer them. Sometimes I wish I could tell my mom about the nightmares but of course, she would either get me a physician or just say it's nothing.
Or I could tell Jason, my twin brother. He has same golden blonde hair as me. He has blue-ish green eyes. And I have blue eyes and if you look closely, the shades change
He's pretty much like me but he's just really good at making friends and he's always the 'Smart, popular and cute guy'. I don't expect it to be different here.
I on the other hand, hate drawing attention to myself. I'm usually the loner since I suck at making friends. The day drags on and it can't get more boring then it already is. I'm currently in my room, unpacking the remaining few things and neatly placing them down in my room.
I slump downstairs where mom is sipping tea on the couch and watching some drama.
I go the kitchen and grab a box of Oreos and open them. "I smell Oreos!!!!" Yells Jason from upstairs. Next thing I know he's by my side. Oh and we both have this desire for sweet things like Oreos and ice cream. Mostly Oreos.
"Gimme." He says. I place a few down on his palm and he dashes back to his room.
I take the whole Oreos box to my room and eat them slowly.
