I can hear Fern's mind and she's violated my rule. She fed on Timmy. I strike at her but Nathen grabs me as steps back and hisses at me.

He's mine! He wants to be with me!

She demands baring her fangs and crouching as Timmy backs against the wall. I crouch ready to fight but Nathen pulls me back.

Now Rosa, I gave Timothy to Fern so she can do as she pleases with him. Your rules are no longer valid. Only she controls what happens to him now. You need to back off and come with me.

I look at him pissed then look at her but she hisses at me again before grabbing Timmy's hand.

Come on Timmy lets go do those shots in OUR room.

She emphasizes as they walk away so I turn to Nathen to ask what he was thinking but hear the answer before I can ask. We walk silently to the library having a silent conversation. He's mad that I want Timmy but I'm mad that he gave him away without consulting me first. Without asking why I kept him.

We're a team not a solo unit. Since when do you makes choices for us without talking to me? At least I was keeping him safe for us. You gave him away without hesitation.

I'm pissed and want Timmy away from Fern. He was my human for a reason. I was keeping us all safe but Nathen's angry to and sees him as a threat. He doesn't know why I kept him. He never asked. He looks at me as he shuts the library door then grabs my arm.

Rosa you have a decision to make and you have to make it now!

He says making sure I hear him before letting me go.

Are you kidding me! You gave away the one human I tried to keep and I'm the bad guy!

I yell at him. So he thinks about it then answers.

No, but this human you dated and you only want him for personal reasons. So choose!

He demands from me, making me angry.

I cannot believe this. You want me to choose between you and a human! Are you kidding me? I'm not doing this! You should've let me keep him. When things get ugly you can blame yourself!

I demand as I walk out and go to our room. I pack a few outfits and head to my car but he walks out and freaks out.

What are you doing? Where are you going?!

I keep my mind blocked as he hurries over.

I feel sick as my stomach turns by his question. I hadn't really thought about it. I was just going.

Leave me alone Nathen. You told me to choose and I'm not staying here with someone who doesn't care about what I want.

I demand as I start walking again but he grabs my arm stopping me again.

You're telling me you're leaving me over a human! Where is he? Why isn't he going with you? You leaving him to?!

This angers me more.

No Nathen! I never wanted him as a mate or anything else. I was keeping him safe....

I stop myself then. Why tell him anything if he doesn't care.

Safe! He is safe! Fern will protect him!
