"What should I wear?" I ask Mary Margaret.

"Did he tell you where he is taking you?" She replies.

"No." I fold my arms and tap my foot looking at the array of options in my closet.

"A nice pair of jeans and a nice shirt should work." She finally concludes.

I put on a pair of skinny jeans, a black v-line t-shirt and a Native American print cardigan, with a pair of knee high boots. My hair is down and natural; I have a simple smokey eyes and my deep red lipstick.

"How do I look?" I inquire looking in the mirror.

"Fantastic!" She smiles, and the door bell rings, "I'll get that." Mary Margaret walks out and answers the door, I hear muffled voices and I decide to walk out.

"You look great, Regina." Robin says.

"You look good too." I smile.

"Ready to head out?"

"Yeah. Bye M!" I say as we leave.

"I am taking you to a lively Diner that I love very much." Robin says as he opened the passenger door for me.

"What Diner is that?"

"Granny's." Robin replies.

As we drive to the Diner, we converse in small talk. We makes me so giddy, and sends butterflies throughout my stomach.

Robin opens the Diner door for me and we walk in.

"Hey Robin!" A brunette with red streaks comes out hugs Robin, "Granny, Robin's here!"

"Robin! It's so nice to see you!" And elderly lady walks out with a smile.

"Hello guys. I've missed you." He smiled back.

"Who's this?" Granny turns and smiles at me.

"I'm Regina." I reciprocate.

"I'm Granny and this is Ruby."

"Nice to meet you." I shake both of their hands.

"Alright, let's get you seated." Granny says, "Will a booth be okay for you two?"

"That'll be great, Granny." Robin replies. We sit in the far booth in the corner.

Granny hands us menus,  "What would you guys like to drink?" She asks.

"Sweet tea, please." Robin says, and I chose the same thing.

"How come you asked me to dinner?" I ask, reviewing the menu.

"Because I wanted to get to know you better." He smiles.

"Oh, okay." I smile back, "What's good here?"

"I like the cheeseburgers here, they're delectable."

"I love burgers." I decide to look at the burger section.

"Well, tell me more about yourself."

"There's not much to say. I've been on my own for quite some time. My father died when I was sixteen, and my mother left me to take care of myself. I haven't heard from her for ten years. Mary Margaret and  I have been friends since our senior year of high school. We attended the same college too, shared a dorm; we were inseparable, even though her high optimistic attitude got on my nerves... a lot." I say quickly.

"Awe, I'm sorry." Is all he said.

"What about you?" I ask.

"My family lives in England, I left when I was 21 and came here for a fresh start. My heart got broken by my high school sweetheart. We were together since our freshman year, and one day she decided that she didn't love me any more and left. We were engaged too. But after coming here, I realized I would've missed out on a lot better things if I stayed. I am more happy here than there." He replies.

"I'm glad you're here too." I wink. Granny comes up and takes our order, as we both decided on a burger.

"What's your favourite colour?" He questions.

"I like cool colours, deep purples and navy blues. What about you?"

"Forest green."

As the night woes on, we get to know each other better, and I think he's a pretty cool guy. We talk about what liberates us and confines, our past. I don't tell him about  Daniel, my first love, we were together when I was seventeen and stayed together until I was twenty-five when I said enough was enough. He proposed, and of course I said yes to him, we were twenty at the time and decided to elope, but two months into the engagement, a woman showed up at our front door and demanded money from him and if he didn't give money she would kill him and I. He wasn't home, so I had to deal with her screaming and threats until he got home and pulled her off the porch, but as soon as that happened, she shot him and I watched him fall to the ground. It felt like it was in slow motion, everything happened too fast.
