"Bury my love in the moondust..."

Keith lay amongst his new bed. He didn't want to interact any longer. Although he pondered on escaping this slow torture, there'd be no way. One, he needed education and two, he doesn't want to be alone all over again.

Alone without family again. Without anyone.

Keith stared out his window, the rain had ceased and it started to become dusk. At least the sunsets were nice to him.

But what he aches to get out of this place was to go stargazing. He'd never tell people this because he figured it sounded cheesy. And maybe it did. But he loved the stars and the thoughts of space and galaxies.

It's like endless freedom. The lack of gravity letting you just. Leave.

And no, this didn't mean he wanted to be an astronaut. He just yearned to be amongst pure stardust.

Keith tore his eyes away from the captivating sunset as he looked at the string of lights that swayed calmly above the headboard of his bed. He wondered how at home-like this dorm will be within a few weeks. He usually made it that way in no time.

He also wished he had a cat.

A cat because he figured they're calm. They purr when they're happy and kneed too. They're usually quiet and not hard to take care of. Sitting with a nice cup of hot chocolate whilst a fluffy cat on your lap would be perfect. Even if it rained again and at night. The beads of water tapping the window, complimented by the wind and the stars.

Keith fantasized over it for a while, but never once did he stop to think about the possibility of having someone other than a cat to accompany him. Someone to snuggle up to, relax with and have meaningful chats. Someone to cry to when life gets rough. He figured he had Shiro for that, but he wanted that bond with a significant other. Shiro was like his brother. He took Keith in from an orphanage in Korea when he was 4.

Keith furrowed his eyebrows at the harsh memories, letting the silence consume his mind. He just barely started to close his eyes when there was a call from outside the door.

"Keith! I hope you're ready soon because we're heading over to pidge's dorm in 10 minutes!" Called Shiro.

Keith let out a groan.

He wore a dark red, (basically black), turtle neck. Though the sleeves cut off right at his shoulders, exposing his smooth pale skin and slight toned muscles. But since he was basically being forced in the name of courtesy to join them, he had to put his grey flannel back on. Next was his red beanie and the scarf. He put his earbuds in his ears, turning on a song he liked.
