"Ugh, I'm so tired.." You muttered while falling back on your newly set up bed. You yawned and stretched as Springtrap ducked into the room- his ears were still a bit of a problem with doorways. He looked from the two doors on either side of your room and the closet directly across from the room. This place seemed.. familiar.
"Spring- I don't think I've asked you this yet but, do you need sleep?" Your voice reached his ears as he shifted in your direction.
"Actually, I can. Once a week, I can go into a rebooting system for 2-3 hours. It pretty much recharges me and fixes any systematical errors. It's not mandatory, but without it, it can leave me feeling 'exhausted'." He said as you patted the space next to you. He sat down on the bed, making you almost bounce off of it.
"Woah-!" You yelped as Spring immediately stood up.
"Sorry (Y.n). I'm not very light as you can already tell." He said with an embarrassed smile.
"That's alright," you said with a chuckle as he sat on the carpeted floor, "It's just another quirk I like about you." You said in a happy tone. He looked away for a moment, seeming like he was fighting something internally.
"...You alright Spring?" You questioned while tilting your head. He looked up at you, hesitating to answer.
"Y-yes. I've just got.. things on my mind. That's all." His eyes shifted away from yours once more, making you frown. You got up from the bed and sat in front of him on the floor.
"Hey, if something's bothering you, you can tell me. Maybe we can find a solution to some of your questions." You optimistically said so. Springtrap let out a sigh, still looking conflicted.
"...Ok, I've got to tell you something. Before we got here- to this house, Purple and I had an argument. He-he threatened to hurt you. And with this house being.. a sort-of mystery, I'm scared he'll try to do so. I-I don't want to be the cause of hurting you (Y.n). What if- what if he does something extreme?" He spoke slowly but pain filled his voice. You were silent, listening to him with concern. This-this scared you. But there was no way you were going to let Spring feel like he couldn't keep in control.
"...Spring, you won't purposely hurt me. I love you and I know you're strong. You're in control, and as long as you keep that in mind, everything's going to be okay. Look at me," you said as one of your hands led to his chin, lifting his head to meet your gaze,
"You're so good. Better than me, even. You're determined and honest and- you're my love bunny that I care so much about."Springtrap looked at you with such a sweet smile. You could always reassure his insecurities and forgive his faults. This is what love feels like. He pressed his lips to yours gently before you pulled away and gave a small giggle.
"Ok mister, off to bed." You said as you stood up and jumped onto your bed, rolling around in the warm blankets and pillows. Spring gave a laugh at you as you were completely covered.
Sitting up, you raised your arms to him and waited. He rolled his eyes before getting into the bed too, secretly loving your affectionate actions. You both got comfortable as you booped his nose before closing your eyes.
"You know, you're pretty hot for an animatronic." You yawned out, earning a snicker as a response.
"You're pretty straight forward when you're tired." He replied back while you snuggled close to him. In a few minutes, you were fast asleep, breathing slowly. Springtrap lay still as not to wake you, thinking about what you said. He didn't think humans could be so considerate, so compassionate for a machine without a heart. You made him feel as if he actually had a heart. You made him feel special.
