Only Time Can Tell

Your car was zooming down the street, heading towards the towns center. You were sure at this speed, anyone or thing that runs into the road will get hit, even if you hit the brakes. Time was ticking away for you to get to them quickly.

'Hey (y/n), you remember us?'
'We're finally free! Can you believe that?!'
'We didn't mean to terrorize you, honest. We were just scared he'd hurt you like he did to us...'
'Maybe he's changed!'
'I was not expecting this to happen.. at all.'
'Whoa, I swear, you're going to get into a car accident!'

The voices in your head finally returned, chatting nicely with one another as you looked like you were going to die if you didn't make it to the town center in seconds.

"Guys, I'm really not in the mood to chat." You say aloud to them, not wanting their conversation to distract you from driving. They continued to chat, but more quietly with you focused and alert as ever. Driving there was easy, the hard part was trying to find them in time before someone else got to them.

"By the way, can anyone of you guys tell me what that key is for?" The question floated around until an answer was formed.

'...do you want the whole truth?' The tension built up immediately, the air starting to feel thick.

"Y-yes." You stuttered, hesitating before completely weighing your options.

'The key... is actually for Springtrap. The CEO was planning to use the key to shut him down permanently because he was evident proof with the worker inside. He was going to replace Springtrap with this other animatronic named Fredbear, but he wasn't able to find the key, causing him to think you had stolen the key from him and try to kill you. You had found out and he was scared you'd tell everyone the truth about the pizzeria being framed. He wants vengeance from the place because his son was injured at the place and later died from the severity of the wounds.' You were quiet the whole time, trying to process every word even when your ears didn't want to hear.

"...S-so what should I do with the key?" You asked them, but only silence filled the air as you were left by yourself with your thoughts. Turning off your car after parking, you rush out, slamming the door shut and began to run towards the sell. Looking around hurriedly, you spotted the key on a nearby table.

'$10 for a key!?' You thought with annoyance. Searching about again, you jumped with joy as you spotted him, but remained calm as you walked over, jokingly inspecting him while you were truly whispering to him.

"Are you alright?! What happened after they rushed me to the hospital?" The agonizing seconds ticked away with you looking up at him. He didn't move so you thought he had to stay completely still without being spotted out by anyone.

"Nevermind, just stay motionless." You whispered, looking at the price tag.

Oh no.

$1050.

How are you going to pay that much?! You had your collage money... Making the hardest decision, you take it.

"Don't worry Spring, I'll get you out of here." You whispered once again, but seemed surprised to see his eyes on you, and the slightest twitch of a smile taking your attention. A smile emerged on your face and you went to pay for both.

Finally, (with the strength of a seal) you were able to get Springtrap into your house, having much difficulty getting him inside. Once inside, he unfroze and tackled you in a hug. You squealed from surprise, not expecting it.

"(Y.n)! You don't know how happy I am  to see you! I missed you so much! I was very worried for your safety and security! I won't ever forgive myself for leaving you in such a bad situati-!!" You shut his blabbering up with a quick kiss. His eyes were wider than dinner plates and his face was as red as a tomato. (Can animatronics even blush? (/T.I)/ )

"I-I didn't know you liked me that way (Y.n). I didn't even think you liked me back!" He spluttered, an embarrassed look on his face.

"I was too naive to realize the signs! Oh yeah, sorry about that, you were just going on and on, but it's not like I wasn't appreciating your words, I just-" This time you were the one interrupted with a kiss from Springtrap.

"So... you're really alright about this?" He asked, seemingly doubts appearing to him with you. You nodded your head, not even understanding how the two of you fell in love.

'...I don't mean to ruin this mushy reunion, but you still need a job (Y.n).'
You face palmed, not seeing Springtrap's confused looks. You heard a few snickers in your thoughts before you told Springtrap about your job problem. He understood and wanted to help you with what you decide to do next. While you looked through your computer, Springtrap looked through the newspaper. Your thoughts soon drifted off to the kiss he gave you. A small giggle leaving your lips with your eyes closed.

"...(Y.n)? (Y.n)? Are you alright?" You soon awoke from deep inside your thoughts and looked up, Springtrap looking at you curiously, his head turned slightly to the side like a dog. A smile broke on your face, but you continued to look through the computer without answering. You heard him chuckle a bit, his curious eyes still glued to you.

"You're pretty weird for a human, in a good way." You heard him mutter. The blush on your face was very evident but you still looked through jobs. One article caught your eye, but it wasn't for a job. It was actually about a house not too far from your apartment, the rent cheap and in your budget. The only sentence that caught your attention though, was stating about the house's history.

"Hey Spring, how do you feel about moving?"
