I exit out the back door, but not before grabbing a knife. Maxine is a crazy bitch and if I run into her, I have to be prepared. I sprint a few metres until I realize that I don't know where I'm going.

One name pops into my mind-Ezra. I have to go back to Rosewood to talk to him just one more time before I leave the state.

All I have with me is my purse, phone, about $1000 in cash and a knife I took for peace of mind. I'm scurrying around like a mouse in a maze, especially since I feel like my every move is being watched and studied.

Eventually, I find a bus station.

"Ain't it a bit late for a pretty young lass like you to be runnin' 'round alone?" The old guy behind to booth asks.

I'm too creeped out to respond. I just ask for two tickets, one for Rosewood and another for New York City from there. I have an old friend who lives there that has a place I can stay in.

The old man gives me a suspicious look, "You look real familiar, do I know you from somewhere?"

I shake my head. The last thing I need is for that guy to tell anybody I was here.

The next bus leaves in twenty minutes, so I just grab my tickets and sit in the dark and wait.
