"What are you two doing here again?" Cassie asked, looking at her best friends that were sat on her couch, smiling.

Mélissa came with her as soon as they were done with their work, and when they got there, they found Romain on the doorstep.

"We wanted to see you," they both same at the same time, and Cassie raised an eyebrow.

"That sounds like a lie. And you need to leave in twenty minutes."

"Why?" Asked Mélissa with a big smile plastered on her face.

"Because Neymar is coming over."

"So you guys can't spend a day far from each other anymore, how cute!" she beamed.

"His family is coming tomorrow, Liss. We still have to plan some things."

"Sure, that's why you're seeing each other," she winked.

"Did something happen that I don't know about?" Romain asked to Cassie.

"Stop pretending that you're lost. You and Liss are in the same team, I know that she called you to tell you that she met him yesterday."

"I still can't believe that you didn't notice that he was Neymar Jr," Romain sighed, not even trying to pretend that he didn't know anything.

"I don't know football and I don't know football players," she defended herself. "And who cares if he's a football player, a cook or a singer?"

Romain and Mélissa looked at each other before shooting their head at the same time.

"So? Is that all you wanted to know?"

"No, I also wanna know what happened in here," said Romain, looking around him. "Christmas and Cassie are usually two very different things and I'm a bit worried about your well-being."

"Neymar did that," she shrugged, and Mélissa smiled.

"Neyssie is rising already, I can't believe it."

"There is no 'neyssie' guys, we are friends."

"Friends that have to pretend to be in love," corrected Mélissa.

"Key word: pretend. No you both need to leave."

"What kind of best friend are you? Throwing us out?" Asked Romain. "It's cold outside!"

Mélissa burst out laughing.

"Okay Ro, let's go. She apparently wanna be alone with her hot neighbor, so..."

"Oh my God, stop calling him like that."

"Why? You jealous?"

"Leave," Cassie crossed her arms.

"Have fun, love you," Mélissa laughed before giving her a quick hug and walking to the door.

"Don't do anything stupid, okay?" said Romain, concerns in his eyes, and I shook my head.

"I don't know what you are implying but I won't."

"Okay. Good."

"You don't have to worry about me, you know that? I'm a big girl."

"With a baby face. And pretty short. And--"

"Okay, okay, I got the idea," Cassie groaned.

"I love you Cass, have a good evening."

"I love you more Ro."

He smiled and followed Melissa' steps to the door. They both left together, and Cassie sighed once she was alone.

Her two best friends were pretty annoying most of the time. But she loved them so much that it didn't matter at the end of the day.

She was so deep in her thoughts that she got scared when she heard the knock on the door. A grinning Neymar was waiting for her, with a bag in his right hand and his phone in the other.

"Hey Stubborn," he greeted her, and she rolled her eyes.

"Hey, Forceur. Come in."

"There wasn't much traffic to get here, thanks for asking," Neymar said before laughing to his own--not funny--joke.

"Thank God, you're a footballer and not a humorist."

"Okay, you're being rude so let me tell you something amazing: I bought sushi."

"That's actually the best news that I heard today," Cassie realized. "How do you even know that I love sushi?"

"You look like the kind of person that love sushi. I have a 6th sense for that."

"Sure, Madame Irma."

"Who the fuck is Madame Irma?"

"A famous fortune-teller. What film should we watch?" she asked as they sat in the couch. "I probably sound old when I say that but I have DVDs in there."

"Whatever you want but please can you add the Portuguese subtitles?" he looked at her with pleading eyes.

"Yeah, of course."

"Stubborn?"

"Mmhm?"

"Can we watch High School Musical?"

She smiled.

"The second one?"

"Obviously. I mean, it is the best one."

She nodded and five minutes later, they were both focused on the film and the sushi. They were pretty quiet at the beginning, but they ended up commenting every lines and they even muted the film to invent new conversations, something that ended I with a laughs from both sides.

"Damn, I love that film so much," Neymar sighed once it was over, and Cassie nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, me too. It used to be my entire life. No my life is my job."

"It's not a bad thing," he shrugged. "I mean, some people hate their jobs."

"I'm glad I love my job. But I wish I could be paid to watch films all day."

"And eat," Neymar added.

"Right. Not gonna happen any time soon."

"I put your present in my room."

"What? Did you?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Yep. So I wake up and fall asleep looking at it. You were right, it's actually so me."

"I know," she smiled. "I had to buy it for you."

"Thank you again. I'm the one supposed to be repaying you for what you are going to do, and--"

"Don't worry about that. I'll be fine. We are doing a pretty good job for now, aren't we?"

"We are. We just have to be more...close when my family would be there."

"We will. Are you excited to see them?"

"I am. I miss them all the time. But they are coming for a whole week. I couldn't be happier."

Cassie smiled. She could see the happiness in his eyes: he was genuinely happy to see them. And seeing that made her realize that accepting to do what he asked for was the good decision.
