This week, we decided to try something new at Girl Boss. It is called "honestly week" and we all have to write about something being completely honest.
So my dear friend Mélissa and I decided to write our articles in partnership. Both of our fairy tales are kind of related, because well, we both are a pretty big part of each other's life.
ONCE UPON a time, Cassie Mercadam.
I know, it sounds boring.
They always say that good things happen when you expected it the less, and to be honest, Cassie never really believed in that motto. She was more an "if you want it, get it" person, and she actually still is. But well, sometimes, life surprises us. In a good way. When we didn't expect it.
Almost a year ago, in November 2017, Cassie got a new neighbor. He lived in the apartment next to hers and truth to be told, he was particularly attractive. She used to mention him as "her hot neighbor" to Mélissa, not only because it was true, but also because she didn't know his name. You see, this neighbor has a job with different hours that Cassie—and Cassie is a journalist, so it means a lot—, so they only saw each other a few times in the corridor, not exchanging more than a "hello' and "have a good evening/night".
And then, well, bam.
That "bam" represents the neighbor entering into Cassie's life. Because, yeah, it sounds cliché, but he really had that effect.
He knocked on her door and he asked for a help on a particular task. Okay, honestly, a very weird task, but it was only for a week, and Cassie didn't mind spending time with the hot neighbor. So they learned to know each other, spend a lot of time together, and also a lot of time ignoring each other, but probably for the best. What was supposed to be a weekly thing turned into a lot more, and well, don't pretend that you don't know where this is leading.
They fell in love.
Cassie Mercadam finally fell in love.
And after a year, she is still in love with that neighbor of her.
They have been dating for almost a year and they hid it, but now it's time for them to say the truth to the world.
Cassie is dating Neymar Jr.
