MANDAG 11:09

"Hei."

Freja looked at the person leaning next to her locker and smiled. "Hello, Chris." She then cocked her head to the side. "Did you have a relaxing weekend? You look rather well rested."

Chris rolled her eyes at her and crossed his arms in front of his chest before grinning. "I look better than I did Friday night though. Don't I?"

Freja scanned his face before nodding. "Your lip looks a lot better."

The boy cocked his eyebrow. "Are you trying to hit on me to make me kiss you with it?" His lips stretched into a grin.

Freja closed her locker and shouldered her bag. "Don't be so conceited."

"Did you get in trouble with your boyfriend for letting me stay over?" Chris' tone sounded stressed.

The girl sighed internally. She had told Chris that she was going to go over to Ludvig's place whilst throwing him out of her house on Saturday.

"Nei, not really." She shrugged and creased her forehead as she thought back to the argument they had had on Saturday.

"Greit." Chris smiled but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "So are we friends now or do we have to go back to the time when you thought I wasn't interesting enough to hang with you?" He smirked in amusement.

Freja groaned and slightly shoved his right shoulder, causing him to laugh. "You're never going to let that go, are you?"

She smiled fondly at the memory of their conversation from Friday night. They had talked until the early hours of the morning and Freja had never felt more at home with a person than she did with Chris. It was scary how fast she had gotten to know part of the person that Christoffer Schistad really was. Therefore, thinking back to the words she said to him, made her cringe. They had been fast and not quite thought through and she was glad that Chris had practically forced her to give him a chance.

"Nope." Chris said, popping the 'p' and pushing himself of the lockers. "Not in a million years." He smiled down at her.

"What class do you have now?" Freja turned her head to the passing students.

"Math."

"How lovely." The girl muttered before glancing back at Chris. "I have Norwegian."

"Let me walk you there?"

Freja shook her head in response to his offer. "I promised to meet Noora by her locker."

"And you don't want her to know that we're talking?" Chris reasoned and Freja shook her head again.

"She keeps on pretending that she hates William and you're his closest friend." She smiled. "I can't be seen, fraternising with the enemy, you know?"

Chris' face lit up in a smile. "I understand." He mused and shrugged. "I'll see you around then."

"Yup." The girl grabbed his upper arm and squeezed it gently in a quick goodbye before brushing past him and down the stairs.

Freja smiled to herself. Maybe Chris could be a good friend to her after all. Maybe he could be the person that actually completely accepted her instead of just tolerating her like the girls.
It was mean to blame them for something that they couldn't really control but Freja somehow felt like she was always just dragged behind by them since she had missed so much of what had happened in the beginning of the school year. She had completely missed the whole drama Eva had had with her boyfriend Jonas and the Russbus struggle. And even though the girls always tried to make her feel welcomed and included, she was always just a little left behind.

"Hei." Freia smiled at Noora who was typing away on her phone.

Sana was leaning against her locker behind her. She smiled at her and pushed herself off. "Hei." She glanced at Noora before grinning at the other girl. "Should we just go? She's been engrossed in her phone and whoever is texting her since this morning."

"I'm coming." Noora stressed and furrowed her brows, not looking up from her phone. "Just go without me. I'll be there in a minute."

Sana shrugged and offered her arm to Freja. Freja grinned and linked her arm with Sana's.

"Rumour has it that you're getting chummy with Penetrator-Chris." Sana mentioned as they walked down the hallway to their next class.

"Chummy is a little exaggerated." Freja bit her lip. "We're getting to a point of being somewhat friends."

"Friends, huh?" Sana pondered the girl's last statement for a while. "And what does your boyfriend say about that?"

"He's fine." Freja shrugged and they rounded the corner into their classroom, sitting down somewhere in the back.

"I didn't take him for someone who's easily jealous anyways." Sana pointed out, taking her water bottle out of her backpack.

"He's not." Freja shook her head. "I kind of poked the bear when I mentioned another topic that he hates talking about. Ludvig completely blew up in my face." She chuckled quietly and rubbed her head. "He's a little - how do I say this in a positive way - intense sometimes."

Sana grinned broadly. "How old is he now?"

"20." Freja answered.

"At least, he's somewhat mature." Sana snorted. "You're lucky you don't have to deal with these stupid boys."

"Do you?" Freja mused and raised her brow. "Is there a special someone?"

Sana shook her head. "Nei, there isn't. Luckily."

It grew silent between the two for a minute before Freja cleared her throat.

"He wants me to move in with him." She said and tilted her head, looking at her friend.

"And you don't want to." Sana's question sounded more like a statement. "Why would he want you to move out anyways?"

"It's not him. I have been planning to move out for some time now. I even found a really cute apartment that I'm going to look at this afternoon." Freja explained. "But when I told Ludvig, he got all excited about us moving in together, you know?" Sana nodded slowly. "His friend is a bit of a dick roommate and another friend of his has been crashing on their couch for the last few weeks. So he thinks it's a great idea, us moving in together so his friend can have his room. He's already started planning and everything. It's horrible."

"And you don't want him to move in with you because?" Sana asked, causing Freja to sigh.

"It's just- I'm moving out to be alone. I can't deal with so many people all up in my private space. I need this privacy. And Ludvig living there would be just like living with my parents and sister." She explained. "Don't get me wrong, I do love him. It's just that I want to live by myself for a while. To make it myself. Does that make sense?"

"It makes a lot of sense." The other girl answered, smirking. "But it will have to make sense to Ludvig too. Do you think it will?"

"I just don't want to tear him down like this. He got so excited."

"Look." Sana turned on her chair to face Freja. "He loves you. And he will understand. It will make sense to him. Trust me. But you have to tell him."

"I will. Today." Freja responded. "He's coming with to visit the apartments. I'll take him aside there for a minute."

"Sounds like a plan"
