I was walking through the hallways, my feet making a loud sound every time they touched ground. I was looking for my music class, which was nowhere to be found. I technically had to walk there with Naveen, my roommate, but I really needed some coffee. So I went to the diner, but there was a big line, and things led to another until I figured I was late. I was deep into my thoughts until I saw Elsa walking out of a classroom, holding papers in her hands. "Hey, Elsa!" I greeted, walking over her. "Oh hey... Jack, right?" She asked, an awkward look on her face. "Yeah, it's me." I chuckled. "Hey, do you know where the music class is? I've been looking for it for ten minutes and I still can't find it..." I asked looking around. "Oh so you're the one that's late." She chuckled. "It's this one here, by the way. Well, I need to get this papers to the principal, see you soon!" She greeted, walking away. I walked over to the class, to see all the girls squealing and the guys rolling their eyes. "What an honor to have Mr. Overland Frost in our class." Laughed Ms. Calliope, signing something on her notebook. "I'm sorry Ms. Calliope, I swear it's the first and last time I'm late." I stated. I failed at the attempt to hide a laugh, and the whole class burst out laughing. "Just go to your seat, Frost." The teacher chuckled, shaking her head. I headed to an empty desk, and a blue bag with a couple of white snowflakes drawn on it was on the floor nearby. Right after that, Elsa entered the class. Anastasia whispered something like "freak". For some reason, that really, really bothered me. Elsa spotted me and grinned. I grinned back. Then I looked over at Anastasia, who winked at me. I glared at her. You should've seen her face. Hilarious. "Thank you Ms. Arendelle, you can return to your seat now." She smiled and headed towards me and sat on her place. After that, we did some warm up exercises for the voice and talked about music in general, until the bell rang. "Now class, the lesson's finished. As an assignment you have to choose a partner with whom you have to do your next project, which consists in simply singing a song and is due to two weeks from now. You can start choosing now." I was about to ask Elsa to be my partner, but Anastasia banged her hands on my desk. I swear the excessive amount of makeup on her face actually scared me. "Hey Jackie, wanna be my part-" "Sorry An, I'm partnered with Elsa, right?" I asked, referring the last part to Elsa. "Huh? Oh yeah, sure, why not?" She said, confused. Anastasia glared at her again and walked away. "So, uh, I heard you're in a band, right?" She asked, putting her things away in her bag. I was happy she knew about it and still didn't fangirl around me. I mean, a lot of girls treat me as if I was some sort of celebrity or something. "Yeah, we're "The Big Four"" I declared, smirking. "I know, Hiccup's a friend of mine." I then stopped packing up and stared at her for a couple of seconds before speaking again. "Really?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. "Yeah, you don't like him or something?" Elsa asked worried, as if she said something wrong. By now we were about to exit the class. "No, of course not, he's one of my best friends. I just thought the only female he talked to was his mom and the teachers!" We both burst out laughing. That was a lie. I mean, half lie. I was just surprised because Hiccup never presented me to her. She's kind of amazing. "Ok, so, um, when should we meet for the project?" She asked taking out an agenda from her bag. In the process, a strand of hair fell from her braid and in front of her face. I immediately felt the urgency to take it out of her perfect face, but she did it before me. She was truly beautiful. Her platinum blonde hair, almost as white as mine, and the palest, fairest skin I've ever seen was hers. Her eyes were icy blue, which reminded me of the star's reflection on the lake next to my house, which I always used to stare at. "So tomorrow at 5 p.m., alright? And here's my number. " She said, giving me a ticket and putting the agenda back into her bag. "Yeah, sure, that's fine by me." I stuttered, reflecting on what I was thinking a couple of seconds ago. "Well then, bye Frost!" She greeted, running through the hallways with her skirt flowing around. Wow. Do I like her? I asked myself. Or do I simply think like that because she's indeed beautiful? I could already imagine Moana Motunui, the school's magazine writer, typing on her red laptop: "Jack Frost: a cold heart can really be melted." Ok, ok, maybe that might seem exaggerated for you but, I don't know. And maybe this might seem cheesy for you but, I really think she might be... different.

I was playing a game called "subway surf" while I waited for Violet next to our usual spot, the vending machine. I already bought us our favorite chips, the ones with paprika on them, and was trying to spot a very probably purple hoodie and straight jet black hair. We were supposed to go to the school assembly together, but she had to talk with the math teacher about an F she got. I really want to help her, since you could say I'm pretty good at math, but she always refuses my help saying that she didn't want to take my time, that it was useless, that she wanted to do this on her own, and a bunch of other excuses that I can't remember right now. I was staring at a poster on the wall in front of me. There was a kangaroo and a lion drawn on it, both in police uniforms, and there were written all the rules to follow when you're in the corridor, like no running and no screaming. I was so concentrated in thinking how useless the fourth rule was, which was no drawing on the floor, that I didn't notice Violet exiting from the math classroom. "Are you going to draw a dog on it too or what?" Asked Violet, stealing the chips from my hand. "Didn't see you coming, Vi. How did it go?" I asked, opening my bag of chips. "I've got the potential to study and I need to use it more, blah blah blah." She exclaimed. "As always then." I chuckled. "Pretty much" she answered back. As soon as she was about to enter the auditorium, I stopped her, gently grabbing her by the arm. "Oh, and Vi? You owe me fifty cents." I smirked. "Yeah, I'll give them to you tomorrow." She promised. She was about to make another step but I gripped her arm a bit tighter. " I almost forgot, Jim says hi. Oh, and another thing: race you to our usual spot!" I yelled, running through the seats and past the students. As I was was about to get closer, someone pushed my shoulder, making me back off a bit. "Hey hey, Robinson!" Violet laughed. I swiftly landed on my seat, feeling victorious, and then the most awkward thing happened: Violet jumped over the seat I was sitting on and landed on my lap, between my arms. By now you may think that me and Violet are the best of friends, and it shouldn't be awkward for us. Wrong. We do feel comfortable with each other, more than anyone else, but some people make fun of us for being both weirdos, so we're the "weird couple". The problem here is that I may or may not have a tiny crush on Violet. But, luckily for me, I can hide my emotions. That means that, no, I didn't show the not red, but purple blush that I was keeping inside of myself, but instead burst out laughing, and she did the same. I gently put her down on the seat next to mine. For the next five minutes, while the teachers were getting organized and the students were passing through the seats, me and Violet talked about this group we really both liked, "All Time Low". "Well, I'm in the opinion that Weightless will never get old." Vi declared, defending her favorite song. "Whatever makes you sleep at night Vi, but everyone knows Time-Bomb is their best song." I stated. Violet dramatically breathed in a deep breath, and put her hand on her chest. "How dare you! Weightless is like, like everything!" She fake sobbed and wiped out a fake tear. "Shut up! Tha' presentation started three minutes ago and all ye do is yell!" A girl with big, red curly hair whisper-yelled to us. I looked in front of me to see Mickey Mouse talking on how he won't take too long. I looked over to Violet and we both covered our mouths, making our laughs calm down.
