Ariel P.O.V.
"And now I only have one goldfish back home, Sandy, because Carol died after eating Slick." Jim concluded, taking a sip of his coke. "Poor Slick. Are you planning on getting any more fish?" I asked, as I looked at my watch and realized it was time to go. "Nah, I think once Sandy dies mom will stop buying goldfish. I think she got bored after the six we had." He chuckled, passing his hand through his hair. "Ariel, I'm so sorry, I have to help my friends with some homework and I gotta go." Jim said, throwing his cup in the trash. "It's fine, I gotta go too. Where are you going?" I asked. "I first have to go to my room and take my charger, and then I have to text my friends because I don't really now what I have to help them with." I chuckled. "Well se ya later!" I greeted, as I headed towards the recording room." Ariel, wait!" Said Jim grabbing my wrist. I didn't completely turn around till I felt a peck on my cheek. "Now you're good to go." Jim said smiling, then running towards the dorms. I stood there blushing for a couple of seconds until I continued walking. Me and Jim had grown close these last 2 weeks after the dance. We have been seeing each other at least three times a day. Literally. I think it's safe to say that my crush on the brown haired stranger had grown. A lot. "Ariel, you ok?" Asked Vi. I blinked my eyes a few times before answering. "You've been literally staring at the wall for the past two minutes." Hiro laughed. "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry. Let's get down to business." I smiled. Vi and Hiro did as well, as they put their headphones on. We had an assignment, which consisted in DJing a song. So I will have to sing a song while they dj it, pretty much. The song I was gonna sing was a song I recently wrote, called "Don't let me down". "So uh, when are we starting?" I asked as I repeated the lyrics in my head. "Um, a friend of ours is coming to help, I guess he's running a bit late." Hiro said, fidgeting with the dj set. "I bet he's fixing his earring and his hair." Smirked Vi, while playing with her phone. "Yeah, that'd be like, his fifth time today." Hiro smiled. "Are you talking about Jim-" "Hawkins at your service, how may I help you? Oh hi Ariel!" Jim grinned. I did as well. "Damn Jim you're hair's fine. Stop touching it and help Hiro get the dj set ready." Violet said, rolling her eyes. "Hey Vi, wanna help?" Hiro pouted. "I would, but I don't want to." Vi groaned. I laughed slightly. "O-kay, go!" Hiro grinned as he slumped into his chair. I started singing the song, bug I didn't go through half of it until the music stopped. "Can you sing with a lower tone?" Hiro yelled. "Hiro she can hear you, you are basically making her deaf and me too." Vi said. I think I also heard her murmur "idiot". "Uh, yeah I can try." I said, tying my hair into a ponytail. After that we tried several times, understanding where my voice has to be higher and lower, where and how long the pauses are, all sorts of things. Finally we made it, and honestly it turned out pretty good.
Merida P.O.V.
I started doing archery at the age of six. I still remember the feeling when at my sixth birthday my dad bought a nerf bow and arrow. Of course, my mom would go on and on about how girls shouldn't be using arms, or something like that. From that day, I would use my bow at least twice a week. So here I was, shooting arrows in the school field. It would be better in the woods like I did at home, but it was already a miracle they actually let me shoot arrows. I felt a bit chilly, so I went to the bench to grab my hoodie leaving my bow on the ground. I put my hoodie on, turn around and guess what I see. Fishbone trying (and failing) to shoot an arrow. He immediately put the bow down as he saw me approaching. "Oh hey Mer, I guess this is yours." He chuckled nervously. "Nah, I stole it." I chuckled. "Not really ye idiot." I said shaking my head. He looked kinda relieved. "Good. I suppose you know how to use it." He said, examining an arrow. "Well ten years should be useful." I exclaimed, snatching the arrow from his hands and positioning it on the bow. "Ten years?!" He exclaimed. As he said that, I shot the arrow, which cut in half an arrow that was already shot. "Woah." He grinned. "Yup." I smirked at his reaction, placing my hand on my waist and slightly tilting my head. "I wish I could do that." He exclaimed, a tiny bit of sadness in his tone. "Ye could, I'm sure the missing leg won't bother ya." I chuckled. "Rumor based on my pain, ha ha ha. Anyway, the real problem is that I need a teacher..." He trailed off. I was about to say something when he cut me off. "For free." He smiled a pleading smile, putting his hands together under his chin. "I suppose I'm the unlucky lad." I frowned. "Why it's an honor, teaching the great Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III." He grinned. "Twenty bucks an hour." I said, cleaning my bow. "Uh, Mer, I think you didn't get the free part." He said. "How about three?" He asked. "Fifteen." I smirked, he frowned. "How about ten?" I pouted. "So kind of you. So how do I start?" He asked, examining the bow. "Well first of all." I started, snatching it from his hands. "Ye can't start immediately from the bow." I said, sitting down on the grass. "You... can't?" He sat down on the grass as well. "No. No no no no no no no no. No. Ye have to start from the basics. It's like science. Ye remember how yesterday I wanted to start the experiment right away, and ye explained how first Ye gotta now the formulas 'n everything? Same here." I explained. "Okay okay, I'm getting there... so, what rules?" "I don't know. I learned by the rules five year old me invented before receiving a bow, and I honestly don't remember them." I laughed. "But you're a teacher..." Hiccup trailed off. "Ye're the one who labeled me as one." I shrugged. "Touché."
Alice P.O.V.
"Guys, I'm bored!" I exclaimed, before dramatically plopping into the chair. "Well what do you propose?" Riley asked while passing the tennis ball to Wilbur. "I don't know, you're the genius." I pouted. "Alice, now you're just being mean." Wendy scoffed, while playing chess with Hogarth. "Checkmate." Hog groaned. "Wen, even though she's being sorta mean, she has a point. This is the sixth time I bet you." Hog frowned. "Thank you!" I exclaimed. "Hiya!" A very familiar voice said. I slowly turned my head to see the red head with pointy ears kiss Wendy's cheek. "Hey Pete." Murmured Wil. "So what are my girlfriend's friends doing on a Friday afternoon in my dorm?" Peter asked, hugging Wendy's shoulders and positioning his chin on her head. "Playing chess." Exclaimed Hog with fake enthusiasm. "Playing...?" Wil trailed off, not knowing how to explain their activity. "Pass the tennis ball, I guess." Riley frowned. "What about you Al?" Peter asked. "Can't you see I'm riding a kangaroo?" I pouted. "Don't get offended, she treats everyone like
that when she's bored." Wendy explained. "We'll have to fix that. Who's up for going outside?" Peter proposed. "I guess I've got nothing to lose at this point." Hog said, leaving the queen and turning towards Peter, who was currently attempting to put me on my feet. Wil stood up and helped him, till I found myself walking out of the door and sitting on the humid grass. "So now that you dragged me here, what do you wanna do?" I asked, resting my head on Wendy's lap while she did flower crowns. "How about... truth or dare?" Riley asked. "I'm up." Hog yelled while playing with a soccer ball. We all sat down, gathered in a circle. "I'll start. Peter. Truth or dare?" Riley asked, playing soccer with Hog. Unlike me, she was really into sports. "Uh, truth." My best friend's boyfriend answered. "Okay. Did you have any girlfriends before Wendy?" Riley asked with an evil smirk. "I did. Do you know Tink? That blonde, crazy bit-" "Peter!" Wendy exclaimed, making me burst out laughing. "Sorry, sorry. Anyway, she was my girlfriend for about a week in fourth grade." Peter finished. "Okay, my turn! How about... Hog. Truth or dare?" He asked, scooting over next to Wendy. He kissed Wendy's cheek and put his tongue out to me. I did the same. "Dare." Decided Hog, holding the ball under his arm and drinking some water. "I dare you to jump into the lake." Right in that moment Hogarth spit the water out out of his mouth. "I ain't doing that Pan!" He yelled, making me laugh. He looked over at me, narrowing his eyes and smiling viciously. "On second thought, if someone dives with me, I will." He said, raising his chin. "Okay I guess." Peter answered. Before he could say anything, I raised my head from Wendy's lap. "No you won't." I warned, raising my finger. "You're right, I won't. Alone." He smirked. Now did I mention we were very close to the lake? He dragged me by the wrist and, literally, made me jump in the water with him. Good thing I gave my phone to Riley before. She wanted to take a picture of a grasshopper or something. Anyway back to me. "Hogarth Hughes you are a dead man!" Wilbur laughed. That was the last thing I heard. The next thing I heard was... Wendy's voice. Well, actually her crying. That woke me up I guess. No one makes my best friend cry. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Jim's face in front of mine. "Wen! She's awake!" He grinned. "For real?" Hiro laughed, bouncing over to me. "You idiots she literally just drowned let her breathe!" Vi yelled before I saw a white ceiling. Well not for long, I saw Wendy's face this time. "Wen, why are you crying? What happened?" I freaked out. She laughed between tears and hugged me. As she hugged me, I looked over her shoulder. There was a brown haired boy, sitting on the ground and hugging his knees, his head buried between them. Riley and Wil were next to him, trying to cheer him up I guess. Wendy set me down on the bed again. I saw her leaving the room along with the others. "Hey Al." A voice said. I turned my head to see the brown haired guy, aka Hog. "I uh, brought you some comics. All three of them are Marvel." He said, handing them over. It felt like an infinite time of silence before he spoke again. "I'm sorry. I truly am. I fully understand if you don't want to hang out anymore and-" "Hog, calm down. I would never stop being your friend. For once in my life, even though I could've died, you made me feel alive. Just next time, check if I can swim." I laughed. "I'm glad you're okay." He smiled. "I'm glad I'm okay too." I smiled back. Now, being Hog and Alice, we burst out laughing. "Hey Al, good to see ya." Said Peter, coming in with a bouquet. "Pan, that's sweet of you, but wouldn't your girlfriend be kinda jealous?" Hog chuckled. "Oh, these are not from me." Peter smiled. "Who were they from then?" Hog asked. He looked... . "Arthur Sword. I just met him in the hallway." Peter said, putting the bouquet in a vase. "Arthur? You mean my roommate Arthur?" Hog asked. He was smiling widely, as if he was trying to hide something. "He's in my history class." I said. "Have you ever talked to him?" Hog asked. I'm scared he could rip his face off. "Yeah, he's really, really nice if you ask me." I said, trying not to laugh. "Dude you are angry." Peter snickered. "Am not." Hog replied. "Anyway, tell Arthur it was extremely nice of him, and I look forward on seeing him on Tuesday." I smiled. "Right up ma'am." Peter left laughing. "You aren't serious." Hog asked, raising his eyebrows. "Course I'm not. Arthur's very nice and friendly, just too much." I said as I started falling asleep. "I knew it." Were the last words I heard.
