"With love, he gave his life so we could be free." I found myself singing this to myself as I walked to dirty dusty road through these woods. It was strange, I had never heard this song before, but it played over in my head. Everything was peaceful, almost perfect, which was odd. I had not seen The Signless in days now, and was becoming increasingly worried as to his whereabouts. We had entered a matespritship, so his being absent was rather worrying. I picked up my pace, heading back to the place I called a hive.

Upon entering I could already tell something was wrong. The tension in the air; someone was here. Perhaps they are waiting for me. What do they want with me? As if on cue, a large troll slammed the door behind me as I entered. I jumped and yelped in surprise, whipping around to see who this person was. I did not recognize the man that stood before me, his long horns and strong build nearly touching the roof of my hive. "A face like all the rest, but something was different."

His hands balled into fists as he inched closer to me. I stepped back, knocking things over as I searched for my weapons with my hands. His head was down, but I had the feeling he wsn't doing this on his own free will. He's under someone's influence, mind control most likely. As my hands felt blindly behind me I could see his arms raise above his head. I could only manage a mere squeak, of which I intended to be a scream. His arms struck me with such rage and such force that I could not breathe. I fell to the floor, my knees scraping against the rough surface. I yelped and tried to push myself backwards to get away, only finding that I pushed myself back against a wall.

"He was called a hypocrite. Laid behind the stone, his death was shortly mourned." His arms raised again as I found myself searching the ground for something, anything to block the next blow. It was sure to be fatal, seeing his towering strength above me. I cried out, my lungs dry and my voice raspy. A piercing scream escaped my lips as his arms came down, missing my torso by mere centimeters. He stood above me, legs on either side of my waist. I whimpered and cried, wiping a small amount of  lime green blood from my lip. I know that he's going to kill me, and there's most likely nothing I can even think of doing to stop it from happening.

His giant hands once again lifted over his head, and I held up the nearest item to stop him from killing me. I heard a sharp crack as his hands met with whatever it was I was holding and it crumbled to pieces in my hands. I looked down, seeing one of my favorite instruments. I pushed myself to my knees, nearly tripping as I rose to my feet and started running. I ran back out the door and down the street, my dress streaming in the wind behind me. Blood dripped from my lips, knees, and elbow, onto my dress leaving a trail behind me. I turned around to get a glimpse of where he was, and as I id so I could see him stumbling out the door.

I turned back around just in time to run into someone. Someone who I knew would help me and may be my only chance at survival. The Disciple. I gasped and clung to her, my lime green blood nearly matching the green designs on her dress.

"My- What happened?" She questioned. I didn't have time to explain, I just looked at her with fear filled eyes and she nodded, rushing me back to her hive silently. I had to lean heavily on her, but thankfully, we got away. I wouldn't be leaving any time soon though, because I knew they would come for me. They would probably find me too. She helped me to sit down as she got some small rags to clean away my blood. She said nothing, but cleaned my wounds nonetheless. The Disciple and I have been friends for quite some time, helping each other out in any situation. Although I don't know how she will take to this one.

After explaining my situation she seemed to be thinking quite extensively. "Now that you bring it up, I have not s33n The Signless recently either." She inquires, running a hand through her massive hair. Her faces sinks as she comes up with nothing, and no way out of this. "I can't hide you forever." She says. I nod, my head whirling as I feel slightly dizzy. She lets me lie down, covering me withthe equivalent of a blanket. It was nice, staying here. Comfortable almost.

Days passed and I found myself growing more and more paranoid and bored. I no longer looked out the windows, I would not use her computer, somethimes I was too afraid to walk past the windows to get to the kitchen for food. Things were getting worse, and there was nothing I could do but sit by and wait. I'm not even sure how long I've been here now. Days? Weeks? Months? Perhaps I should find some other place to stay. I shall talk to The Disciple tonight when she gets home. I wonder if she has talked to The Signless...
