Story: Saphire's mother was taken by H.Y.D.R.A since her mother was pregnant with her, and after giving birth, her mother was sent back home after being brainwashed into not telling who or where their base was.  They closed Saphire off in a tube and the experiments just started first she was injected with this black-ish blue liquid and others were injected even all types of birds (their blood) were injected. When she was 5 they trained her hard, brainwash after brainwash, beating after beating, at the age of 9 she killed her first human. And it went from their and up until World War 2. When Bucky fell off of the train, Saphire was the one who had to take him to H.Y.D.R.A, watching as he was brain washed and she trained him a little. She watched The Winter Soldier kill the Starks, secretly Saphire and Bucky had been getting closer, even romantically. Not really being able to sleep much, didn't help, the only time that they'd actually be in private was sometimes on missions, when it was just the two of them. During one of their missions, Saphire told Bucky that she was pregnant, Saphire and Bucky quickly had to come up with a plan, so that they're baby won't get taken and get experimented on. Saphire faked her death, she purposely slashed her skin with one of her wing feathers and smeared it on the ground, after being sure that she won't be found, Bucky reported that he lost sight of Hell Fire, he reported that there was smeared blood on the ground. The director of HYDRA was disappointed in The Winter Soldier, and felt a bit angry that his most prized weapon had gone missing.
  Cut to a few months later, Saphire had found out that another project of HYDRA's had gone missing, and she knew exactly who. She found the project and helped her fight through the serums that were in her body, the project saw Saphire's baby bump, and was shocked. "That's why you left," Saphire smiled and nodded. Saphire later than found out that 'Zombi's' name was Linda Janessa Colleen, both than found out that they're related. Bucky, when he was on a mission and wasn't being watched, would visit Saphire and Linda. He got scared at first when he recognized the woman, but soon warmed up to her. When it came time for Saphire to have her baby, luckily there was a village not too far at where they stayed. Linda had taken off towards the village to ask for their doctor come and help her cousin who was giving birth. Both made it in time too, Saphire's water had just broken, and was screaming in pain. 5 hours of labor and Saphire had her baby girl in her arms, both thanked the doctor after he cleaned her up and had bid farewell to the ladies. Days later Bucky had come by to check on the two woman, but when he walked in and saw his wife trying to calm a fussy baby, he almost fainted at the sight. Both named there daughter, Rosalind Sabrina Barnes. He stayed longer than normal, but he enjoyed the time with his wife, and baby daughter. But four years later, everything fell apart for the small family, Saphire gave little four year old Rosalind to Linds to protect, because something was going on at the small village and Saphire didn't want anything bad to happen to her. Bucky had come by a few hours after Saphire had already left and saw a paranoid Linda and four year old Rosalind playing with some of her toys. To cut it short Linda told Bucky about where Saphire went and found Saphire unmoving, she was laying in the road of the village which was set on fire. Bucky mourned and cried for his wife, he carried her back to where Linda and Rosa was. Linda was looking out and saw, "stay here for me, okay?" Linda pulled her jacket on and ran out, but curious little four year old Rosa wanted to know why 'auntie' Linda went outside, only to see her dad holding her mother who wasn't moving. Rosa quickly ran outside and towards her parents and aunt, Bucky looked at his daughter with teary eyes. They mourned the loss of a mother, wife, and cousin.
