Matsyaa curled her fists on her sides, standing on the opening of the drawing hall and acting like a figurine. The couple before her hadn't noticed her yet and she took the liberty to burn them with her glare. When her husband saw her, he pulled back and the girl also straightened up confusingly glancing at her.
"What are you doing here?" Despite everything, Ranvijay had the nerve to ask. Matsyaa couldn't keep her eyes off the girl still bracketed in his arms and he didn't even push her away.
"I thought about coming back home." She pouted and glared at him, "Guess I made a mistake. I shouldn't have been here."
His eyes flashed with resentment before getting cold. "I'll ask Bhushan to drop you back."
"That won't be needed." It took her everything to not bark the words at his face and she turned, hiding the tears welling in her eyes. She tugged at Veer's arm, pulling him along with her.
So, is everything over now? One mistake and his love and care evaporated. She howled in her mind and her lips trembled, dreading the thought of her replacement.
