We walked for what seemed like forever. I could tell Harry was nervous because throughout the course of the walk, he was fiddling with our intertwined hands, playing with his hair, and babbling about random things.  I immediately recognized the place that we finally stopped at.  It was the place Harry first sang to me.  I mean, yes I had heard him sing before that day, but softly under his breath or in the car or at concerts, but he had never sang TO me until that night, in this very place on this beach.  The spot was so beautiful.  The water crashing against the huge rocks and the palm trees blowing in the wind made for a romantic spot like a scene out of a movie.  "What are we doing here, baby?" I questioned Harry as I turned and looked up at him.  "Do you not remember this spot?"  He replied with a confused look. "Of course I do Harry, I couldn't forget it."  That was true.  I remember every detail of that night.

It was about 2am and the boys had just finished up a show in San Diego and we had arrived at our hotel in LA where we would be for the next couple days.  We got our things situated in the rooms and then I got a text from Niall saying that everyone was going to the beach. Harry and I decided to go, so we met everyone outside of the hotel and started off.  The beach was right across the street from the hotel and when we reached the beach we all just sat down and began to talk.  It was so peaceful and relaxing.  We had amazing laughs and shared stories with each other.

After about an hour of just chatting with everyone, Harry stood.  "Where are you going?" I asked. "We are going for a walk." He answered as he extended his hand out to help me up.  I took his hand and stood; I wiped the sand from my shorts then I looked at Harry and nodded telling him I was ready to go.  He looked back at the group, waved, then we started off toward what looked like endless beach.

We walked hand in hand in silence, but it wasn't an awkward or bad silence, it was a good silence. With every breeze I inhaled the faint scent of Bleu de Chanel, the cologne Harry always wore. It was one of my favorite smells in the world. I got closer to him and wrapped my arms around his middle, the aroma overcame me and I closed my eyes and entered a new world, his world, our world.  He put his arm around me and we continue to walk and listen to the waves crash.  After walking a bit more, I broke the silence, "I love watching you on stage, the way you feel the music and become a part of it, it truly amazes me baby."  We stopped.  Harry took both of my hands and pulled me close to him and kissed me.  When we pulled apart, I looked around me.

The moon illuminated the water and the palm trees we moving to the rhythm of the breeze.  "Harry, this place is beautiful."   "A beautiful girl doesn't deserve anything less." He said smiling that cheeky smile at me.   Harry sat down and rested his back against a palm tree;  I sat between his legs and he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek.  We watched the waves hit the rocks and the stars twinkled in the sky.  As we watched, Harry began to hum a familiar tune. "Sing to me." I said.  Harry began to sing the song he had be humming.  It was "Yellow," by Coldplay, and it was our song.

Now, Harry was standing under the same tree we had sat against that night and I was looking deep into his emerald eyes.  "Adalynn, I brought you back here because I love you so much and this spot is very special to us," he said with a shaky voice,  "and these past six month without you right by my side have been incredibly hard.  I never want to spend that much time apart from you again.  Anytime I get to see that beautiful smile of yours or look into those beautiful eyes my heart skips a beat.  So, Adalynn Rose," Harry proceeded to get lower to the ground, eyes filled with water, until he was on one knee and had pulled a little box out of his pocket, "will you marry me?"  He opened the box and my jaw dropped when I saw the simple diamond band that my mother gave me, only now it had a square shaped diamond in the center.  It was beautiful.  I immediately shook my head yes as tears fell from both mine and Harry's eyes.  When I finally got my thoughts together, "Yes. Of course, Yes!," I said elated.  Harry slid the ring on my left ring finger and stood, and as he did, he picked me up in arms and twirled me around.  He set me down and kissed me slowly.  I looked deep into his eyes and smiled. "I love you, so much." I said and hugged him tight.  He pulled me close and whispered, "you know I love you so."
