Harry must've made a phone call while I was getting ready because when we reached the lobby of the hotel we were immediately escorted out of a back door and into a black SUV that drove us to the place where Harry's black Ferrari California was parked. I guess that's what he'd be driving for the next few days. It makes sense, we are in Los Angeles. I had yet to ride in this car with Harry. He has taken me for a ride in most of his cars, but this one was new to me. Anyway, Harry opened the passenger door for me and assured I was in safely before walking around to the drivers side and getting in and buckling himself in.
"Where to pretty girl?" Harry said to me as he started the car and turned the radio on. He turned it to AMP, a top 40 radio station in L.A. "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons was playing and Harry started singing along, which turned me on so much. I reached my hand to the back of his neck and pulled him in for a kiss. When I pulled away I looked into his eyes and answered "I'm hungry." He chuckled, put the top down, and we drove off.
I didn't bother telling him what I was hungry for or where I wanted to go. Harry and I had been together for almost year and he knew me better than I knew myself most of the time. We met in Cheshire while I was on vacation with my dad and my four older brothers. It was early morning and I was on a run through the streets of Holmes Chapel, when I passed a bakery and saw the curly haired boy of my dreams standing in the window. I was a huge fan and not shy at all, so I ended my run right there and walked in the door of the bakery.
I was greeted with green eyes and a cheeky smile that I fell in love with. "What can I get you today?" I looked at the boy behind the counter and said "Two of whatever your favorite is." Harry chuckled walked to the back. In about three minutes he came back with two bags in his hand, "will that be for here or to go." He grinned. I smiled back and said "Here, but only if you eat the second one with me." Harry smiled and rang me up. I handed him the money and he walked from behind the counter to a small table where he pulled a chair out and gestured me to come sit down.
We spent the day together in the bakery and talked for hours. We talked about the band and how he was on holiday for the next two weeks. We talked about my hobbies and my hometown of Clayton, Georgia. I would occasionally check in with my family as customers would come in and he would get back to work, and when it was time to go I hugged Harry and headed for the door. I paused when I heard his voice "Let me walk you back to where you're staying." I smiled and nodded as he took his apron off and we walked out the door.
We spent the rest of the week together before I had to leave. He met my dad and brothers and I met his mom and sister. We went on runs and had tea together in the mornings. In the evenings we would hold hands and walk through the park, and at night we would lay out in the field behind his house and look at the stars and laugh with each other. Since he was still on holiday the week after I left my dad approved of him coming back to Clayton with us for the week. It was at the end of that week we decided to be an official couple and we sealed it with a kiss. Our first kiss.
That was in May, and we took turns visiting each other over the summer. He was on tour in the states so I traveled with him when I could; when he had breaks he would go back to Holmes Chapel and I would go with him. Unfortunately, I started school again in September so we couldn't see each other as often anymore. He came to visit me once in October for my 18th birthday but that was the last time I saw him. Now, here we are, one month away from our one year anniversary cruising the streets of Los Angeles at sunset. I looked over at Harry; he looked intense, eyes heavily concentrated on the road. Out of the corner of his eye he saw me staring at him. Harry quickly looked over at me and smiled that cheeky grin then grabbed my hand.
We spent the rest of the ride hand in hand, singing along with the radio until we finally parked outside of a small pizzeria, The Coop Pizza. Harry and I had gone here our first night in Los Angeles over the summer. When we walked in the rest of the boys were there as well with 3 big pizza pies in front of them. When they spotted us all I heard were an assortment of shouts of our names so we started toward their table. I wondered how we all ended up at the same place but decided not to ask and just enjoy the company. As much as I love Harry, I love spending time with all the boys. They knew how to have a good time. Not that Harry didn't because I always had a good time when I was with him, but being with the boys reminded me of being with all of my brothers. It was comfortable.
