My name is Shaleine, I'm 16 and I'm from the amity faction. I'm an only child.

Tomorrow's the aptitude test, and i'm sure my results wont be Amity. I freaking hate this place. I mean like seriously no, the world is not bad place, and people are not corrupted because people need to be more "happy". How stupid is that? Come on we all have emotions, it's human nature. I swear to god, the people there are happy go lucky idiots.

"Honey time to eat!" Calls my cheesy over exaggerated mom.

I walk down and take a seat at the dinner table. For dinner it tomato soup with some bread on the side. I note that I have two pieces while mom and dad only have one each,

Oh great.

Yeah that's right, they put drugs in our food so we are in a better mood. Messed up right?

Well I'm not really suppose to know that. Haha, well um, funny story. My mom works in the kitchen so...

*Flashback.*

There sitting on the table was my moms extra key. I grabbed it and ran over to the doors to the kitchen. The key slid in easily and I unlocked the door.

I snuck in and took a look. They were taking little cups of what they called peace serum and were kneading it in to the dough. I left... Disgusted.

*end flashback*

"Mom, I don't want bread." I say

"Oh, darling a little extra food can't hurt can it?" questions my mom cheerfully

"To much food never made anyone feel great about themselves did it?" I retort with my expert fake smile.

For a second she looked hurt. I also most felt bad. Almost. Then I remembered how she always tried to change who I was.

I eat my food, refusing to touch my bread. After that I run up to my room. I spend most of my day up there, you could say I'm anti-social. I turn out the light and hop in my bed. I'm probably not gonna sleep well tonight. After all, I never do.
