I offer a smile in return "Thanks." I say.
Then I see Adian's gray blur of clothing fall into the net.
The man helps him out without a word.
"What's your name?" I inquire.
"Four." He says like it's nothing unusual.
Huh.
I start to talk to Adian.
"So, why'd you choose dauntless?" I ask
"I didn't fit in there... What about you?"
"Same."
"Can I ask you a question?" He asked
"You just did." I reply smirking
"Oh, you know what I mean?"
"Do I?" I say looking confused
"Yes." He says smiling
"Okay, yeah you can ask me a question."
"What were your results?" He asked quietly.
"Dauntless." I say way to quickly. Disappointment crosses his face for just a second, but then he's back to normal.
By the time our conversation is over everyone has jumped.
"Dauntless born, go with Eric. Transfers stay with me." Says Four
