Seo Eun's POV

It felt different waking up today, like there something serious happened. My heart ached and my eyes were swollen as I've been crying. I jumped out of bed and went to the kitchen to brew myself a cup of morning coffee.

It was Saturday so I didn't have to go to work. I giggled at the fact that I don't really have to go to work on weekdays either. Ever since I started working on my own publishing company, I've decided to stay home and work on my novels. Every time I looked myself into the mirror, I always felt empty, like something was missing within me.

Suddenly my phone started ringing. I put my coffee cup aside as I picked up the phone. It was from my secretary. "Hello?"

"Hi Ms. Kang. I hope I didn't wake you up."

"No you didn't, what's up?"

"Oh actually there's a new investor."

"He came without any appointments?"

"Yes, but he's Kim Samuel, the most successful businessman."

"A very successful businessman doesn't know how to make appointments, seriously."

My secretary didn't reply.

"Tell him to wait. I'll be right there."

I changed into my comfortable sweatpants and my favorite sweater as I grabbed the car keys on the counter. I was planning on watching netflix this morning but now it's all ruined thanks to this successful busineessman named Kim Samuel.

I arrived at work in 10 minutes as the roads weren't too busy. "He's in your room." my secretary bowed at my sight. I nodded as I entered into my office. I barely come here unless I have things to sign or people to meet.

"Where's your boss though?" he asked, in a demanding tone. He was so charming, I had to admit. I felt I was attracted to him like a magnet. It was weird, almost like a dejavu as if I've met him before. "Well, the boss is me." I smiled as I took a seat. "Oh." I could tell he was judging precisely the way I was dressed with his brown eyes scanning me head to toe. "So unexpected from a young CEO like you." he chuckled. "Well, so unexpected from a successful businessman like you, dropping by with any appointments." I murmured under my breath but quickly forced a smile.

"Excuse me?" he asked. "Nothing, go on." I shook my head. "Oh I happened to read one of your books and decided I wanted to invest in your company." he let out a piece of paper. "What? You happened to read my book and now you want to invest." I choked. "I just said that." he nodded. "Back up. Is this a scam?" I narrowed my eyes.

"I believe not." he shrugged, chuckling a bit. "How about we have a proper discussion some other day. I will contact you back." I said, trying to keep up the smile on the other hand. Today was filled with weirdness enough. I couldn't deal with it anymore.

I was showing him the way out until I saw a familiar guy standing in front of the entrance of my company. "Min Yoongi." I sighed. "Seo Eun, let's talk?" he requested. "Says the one who left me two years ago. I'm with a guest." I muttered.

"I can see that." he looked at Kim Samuel. "Muel ah," I called him. I didn't know why I called him like that but I felt a weird sensation jolting up inside of me. It sounded so familiar. "Uh, you have a new guest. I'll be going." Samuel bowed and left.

"Seriously Yoongi, we don't have anything to talk about." I groaned while walking back to the elevator. He followed me inside. "Just listen me out." he begged as the elevator door closed. As it went up, it suddenly froze as the main lights went off and the emergency light came on. "Power cut? You've got to be kidding. You're such a jinx." I muttered.

"I'm sorry." he sighed. "Oh shush, it's something you should've said two years ago. I don't want to hear it." I said. I've known him since college but today, I've hated him ever since he cheated on me. Although those hateful words were coming out of me, there was the last bit of pity in my heart. I looked away, not wanting to show any emotions.

We waited a few minutes but the power didn't came back. "Something's wrong." he said, trying to dial his phone but there was no service in the elevator. "Do something." I said, starting to feel tired from lack of oxygen. Suddenly the power came on as the elevator escalated. "Thank god." I sighed in relief.

As the door opened on 15th floor, we stepped out, just to see a silent floor. "What's... wrong." I looked around but there was no faint of sound. "Shit." Yoongi cursed. "Stop swearing!" I was about to curse but when I turned around, there were two armed man pointing guns at us. "Where's your CEO?" they asked.

I'm the CEO alright! Who said CEO can't dress like this! I cursed inside but obediently followed where they took me. All the employees were on the floor, surrounded by a group of men with guns. "Get on the floor." the man pushed me as I fell. Yoongi laid down next to me. "Calm down." he whispered as I nodded.

"There's a man walking from the lobby." one of the masked man said to the other. They went near the CCTV as a figure walked into the company front entrance. It was.... Samuel.
