they don't see the light in me
because my nose is wide
they fail to recognise the poverty of
their narrow mind
because the curls of my hair protect
me from the sun
they want to steal any moment I
have to shine
i am an africana
the mitochondrial Eve
when will they learn to respect the
curves of their mother?
