Jay: So plant boy, How about going all out?
(y/n): I was already itching for a good fight.
I grow a huge root around him to keep him from seeing anything. The sound of his sword drawn is heard, but the root wasn't done with a single slice. While Jay was busy getting through the root, I used the trees to my advantage and ruined the terrain. But before I could set up a clone, an orange slash came flying through the forest. As Jay walked out of the root, he seemed to have an irk mark on his forehead. Revise plans! I left the setup for later and charged once more straight towards him. He smirked and jumped up high. I tried looking up, but he jumped in front of the sun. He came down and tried to dig his heel into my head, but I protected it with some roots. He flipped back a little and grabbed a sword in his right and a gun in his left. I took my own staff and engaged him in close combat. He shot a few times at me, but they got deflected of off my staff, which I spun around for easier parrying. He then took some more distance and grabbed his second gun. He quick-fired them at me. Most were blocked and some just straight up missed. I was too busy focusing on blocking and dodging to notice the cheers from the audience, but I missed something else as well.

Ruby: This seems oddly familiar.
Guy: He really likes doing that one.
Blake: What exactly is it that he's doing right now?
Yang: All I see is him shooting at (y/n), what's so special about that?
Ruby: Well...
Weiss: It's quite shameful if you look at the amount of bullets that he's missing. I mean, half of his bullets are going right by (y/n) and get stuck in .... a .... tree.
Guy: Bingo Ice queen. He isn't missing. He makes sure to keep (y/n) busy by aiming half of the bullets at him, but his real target isn't (y/n). He's aiming at the tree right behind him.
Yang: Why would he use only half? Wouldn't it be faster if he were to fire everything at the tree?
Guy: It's not about efficiency. He needs to keep (y/n) in the same spot to make this work. If he were to aim at the tree, (y/n) would realize and move away.
Yang: I love you when you act nerdy over simple things~
After the explanation, Yang scooted closer to Guy and hugged him. He was now blushing like a mad man, but he still had his smile on his face. He gave Yang a gentle kiss on the forehead and they both turned back to the fight.
Suddenly Jay stops shooting, but (y/n) still has his guard up. Jay puts his guns away and an orange glow starts to surround him. He grabs his sword and all the energy got released into a single slice. (y/n) managed to dodge it, but the slash cut the last part of the tree. (y/n) tried rolling away from the tree, but it fell faster than he thought. The bushes landed on top of him and the audience gasps.
Jay: You can come out now. I know you're preparing something.
(y/n): He, guess I'm not as good an actor as I thought I'd be.
(y/n) then jumps out of the bushes, but he now has root like armor made all around his body. Jay then falls over on the floor laughing. (y/n) doesn't realize why, that is until he looks down. The roots shredded his pants and replaced them with a sort of plant boxer. He tried to cover himself up the best he could, but the whole audience had already noticed and started laughing as well. Except for one person. That person was Blake, who was able to contain her laughter only because she blushed redder than Ruby's cape. She tried hiding her face in her hands, but Yang had already spotted her tomato-like face.
