Hello Contestants and curious looky loos,
A few people have PMed to find out how to become a judge and what it entails. So I've decided to hammer down the details in hopes of finding more talented people to sign up.
Here are the details:
1) Each judge will be asked to judge no more than ten books.
2) They will only be asked to read 5 chapters of each book in the category they are judging.
3) They will judge these books on six criteria:
Cover (10 pts)
Back cover synopsis (5 pts)
Layout and design (5pts)
Grammar (10 pts)
Character Creation (10 pts)
Plot development (10 pts)
Out of the ten books they will pick a top three, which they will email to me with a score. I will list them as finalists with their score.
4) Then the judges must read the remainder of the chapters of each of the three remaining books to determine the 1st place winner.
5) In the end they should email me with the results no later than January 1st 2018 providing we are able to fill the categories in sufficient time.
