I walked down the crowded hallway, feeling regret. I was looking at my feet, so I had no idea if I was going to run into anyone. Just as I thought about it, I crashed into someone. Ugh. Whoever it was, said "Ew, Lola," and soon everything was dead silent. I did not want to look up, but I had to. I slowly lifted my head up. My eyes started watering as I saw every face in the hallway staring at me. I was about to yell at everyone for looking at me like that, but it would be no use. I already did enough of that today. Instead I took a deep breath, and walked right through them.
Whoever had said that, ew Lola thing, had said it sort of loudly, so that is why everyone heard. I opened the door to the ladies room and hid in a stall. No one was in the bathroom, which was probably a good thing. I took an other deep breath, and wiped my remaining tear streaks that slid down my face with my sleeve. I could not stop thinking about what all had happened. I knew I had anger issues but not that bad. But I replayed what had happened anyway:
*Scene: outside; playing flag football
My old friend Keelin- *accidently bumps into me* "What the F**k Lola watch where you're going!" Me: *Still mad at her from the last fight which was about two years ago* You were the one who ran into me Keelin!" Keelin-*sighs loudly* "Well at least I'm playing the game, and what are you doing? Standing there doing nothing!!!" Me- *really getting on my nerves*(By the way the gym teacher was not even there. He was coaching some other team at the moment, so we had the perfect fighting ring.) Some people were staring at us, but most were not. "Well at least I don't try to impress my crush by YELLING at other people and, to be honest, I do think COLTON YOUR CRUSH IS LOOKING RIGHT AT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I really had get that out. It was fun though. My adrenaline was pumping. She managed to get a good push on me, but I could do better. I just knew it. Keelin: "Oh my God Lola!!" It was true, Colton was literally staring right at her. But I was positive a small smile spread across his face. But then he got hit in the face with the football. I laughed. Keelin pushed me again, harder. I was mad. If this was how it was going to be, I was absolutely not giving up that easily.
That is all I remembered before I heard someone come in the bathroom. "Lola, you in here?" I heard a voice. Keelin knocked on my stall door. "Hey, you in here Lola" She said. I started getting mad again. "Oh, so miss popular wants to apologize? Well guess what, I don't think it's gonna be easy. For all you did to me in the past." I said in a dark voice. Keelin sighed. "Lola, please, just listen to me. I miss you. Like, a lot. I miss not being mean to you. I miss being your friend. And, i'm so terribly sorry about everything I ever did to you. I feel SO terribly bad." She did sound broken down. I stood up and unlocked the door. I stepped out. Keelins mascara streaked down her cheeks like she was crying. I kinda felt bad about snapping at her. I surprised myself with what I said. "Apology accepted, K.C Cooper!" Keelin hates that nickname. "F**k off Lola!" And she left out the door. I smiled a little. I wiped the tears that were dried to my face. I remember I punched Keelin in the gut, and every one saw because she hurled over and started moaning in pain. Pretty soon she started puking, but not because she was sick it was because I punched her obviously. But she didn't have to go home though. Everyone loved her. And they felt bad for her whenever something happened to her. So they (of course) hated me when I did something bad to her. But that was really weird. She never just apologizes like that. It usually takes her a really long time.
The bell rang and I looked crappy. My eyes were a little bloodshot but at least it looked like I wasn't crying. I took another deep breath and walked out of the restroom. Some people were looking at me but I just ignored them. OK, next class would be geography with Mr. Kaiser. I speed walked to my locker and opened it (It was rigged). I grabbed my stuff and I noticed something. A note. I looked around me and bit my lip. I hesitated for a minute before grabbing the note that was on the top shelf. I wanted to open it now and read it but I like to save things. So I stuffed it in my back pocket where my phone was and closed my locker door. I ran to my class. Just as I walked in the bell rang again. Safe.
I have two friends in this class, Javlyn and Leah. I sat in my desk and took a deep breath. Some people were looking at me. I looked around the room. Tyler gave me a little smile. Like a sympathetic one. I mouthed "what" with my lips. He got out his notebook and teared a little piece off and started writing on it. My face started turning red. UGH WHY! Mr. Kaiser was taking attendance. Tyler got up from his chair and started walking towards me. I got kinda fidgety. As he walked past me he slipped the piece of paper in my open hand. Seriously, I have to read two notes now? My hands were kind of shaky. I unfolded it and read it in my head.
"Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go to a really weird and satisfying haunted house with me on friday? My mom could take us. She could pick you up at 7:00. But it's totally up to you. <3"
