I woke up in a house I did not recognize. It was dark, and I thought a clown was going to jump out any minute now. I sat up and started screaming. My eyes were so teary, I couldn't see who was running at me. I was in the arms of Tyler. He was rocking me back and forth and repeating "Its gunna be ok, It's gonna be ok." pretty soon I drifted back to sleep, thinking of the the day we might have our first kiss.
I woke again to the sound of a fan blowing on me. It felt really good because I guess last night I was sweating like crazy. I pulled off all the heavy blankets that were on me and enjoyed to cool air blowing on my body. I was guessing it was 9:00 because it was light out. I stood up and walked to the window. I pulled open the curtains and opened the window. A light breeze drifted in and I smiled. Last night flooded into my memory. But all of this stuff that Tyler was doing for me, It was too much. "Hey" A soft voice from behind startled me. I turned around to see Tyler standing there. "Oh, um, Hey? Wait-- am I at you house?" A ton of questions floated around in my head. "Yeah." Said Tyler. I checked to see if I was wearing any clothes. Ok, good, I'm still wearing the outfit from last night. I rubbed my head wear it hurt. "What happened?" I said. Tyler walked over to me and put his hand on my head where it hurt. He chuckled a little. "You fainted when you saw the clown with the chainsaw. You hit your head." He looked in my eyes. "Are you okay?" I smiled a little. I still didn't know why I was at his house and not mine. I wondered if my parents even knew about what happened. "I'm fine. Do my parents know about me being here? Why am I here anyway? Shouldn't I be at a hospital or a doctor at least?" A million more questions floated in my my mind. "Yes, your parents know you're here. You're here because your parents said they had an emergency meeting to go to right away and they couldn't stay home to watch you. So I said I would take care of you for the night and bring you back in the morning," He got closer by the minute. "Is that ok?" I was shocked. Did he really like me that much? Maybe even love me? "Of Course. Thankyou." He leaned in and I thought he was going to kiss me but he whispered in my ear, "It was pretty funny. I didn't know you were so scared of clowns. The whole time you seemed so relaxed." He did that really cute chuckle again and I rolled my eyes. "Well now you know a fun fact about me." He smiled. "Shall we take you home then?" I nodded. "I guess." It was a saturday and we didn't have school. We walked outside and saw a guy working on a car in the driveway. He looked up at us. "Does your girlfriend need a ride?" He said. His hands were black. He smirked. Tyler rolled his eyes. "She's not my girlfriend yet, and yes Travis, she does need a ride." Tyler said. But those words sunk in deep. She's not my girlfriend yet. What did he mean by Yet. Travis stood up and brushed the dust off his jeans. "What's your name love?" He held out his hand and expected me to shake it. Yeah, like that was gonna happen. I avoided eye contact with him, stared at his hand, then smiled. "Im Lola, pleasure to meet you, Travis." I looked up into his eyes. They were a light blue, like ice. Only Tyler's were now a deep gray. "OK, where do live miss?" I gave him a quick rundown of where I lived and then he said, "Gotcha." We hopped into his pickup truck. He drove me home, and it was a nice, silent ride. They only lived like 2 miles away from me. But they lived in country and I lived in the outside of town. They had 40 acres of land and we just had a house and a back yard. We reached my house and I got out of the truck. His truck was actually a pretty nice one. And he looked to be about 17. Tyler walked me up to my front steps. "That was really fun." The memories flashed back. I got shivers. "Ha, I guess. Except the clown part." I said with a goofy grin. "That's only the beginning of our fun." He chuckled. "Lol." That was weird. "What do you mean?" He grabbed my hand and met my gaze. "Hmm. Is it alright if I call you mine?" I looked down and my face turned a deep red. "Um, yeah. I guess?" When I looked up right before I knew it he is leaning in to kiss me I back away. "I'm sorry." I said. "Lol. sorry, that was a little wild. We'll take it easier next time kay?" I Smiled. As he turned around to leave, he gave me a wink. I bit my lip. Then I ran inside and told mom about everything.
