I shook it and replied, "Valsy. And any chance you could tell me the time?"
Dong, it was the bell- the signal to say it was thirty till middlenight.
"Oh, that time."
"I must go soon. I have to be home early all week. 'Son they're coming tomorrow, be ready!'" He mimicked in a boring monotonous voice. I furrowed my eyebrows in a deep frown, my forehead creased. Noticing my bemused look he expanded on his point. "My father thinks I should be married soon because I come of age in two fortnights. So his friends come round and show off their ugly-ass daughters because in a month I am to be married. Such fun!" He sarcastically commented, grinning.
"Do you live on your own?" Reys asked.
"No, I live with my foster family. What about you?"
"Parents are really fun to live with when they're following your every move. Especially when your snakey bitch of a sister spies for then. Freakin' Katilla."
"Beautiful name; Katilla. Just like the princess. I've always wondered what's she like."
"I bet she's a bitch."
"Somebody's got strong opinions. Jeez..." I inhaled mockingly, pretending to be worried.
"Oh, shut up!" He laughed. "Her parents favour her, it's obvious. Don't you watch the Screens?"
I shook my head, picturing the holographic Screens that appear in the town at any 'big' event. The Royals always gave speeches or talked on the Screens.
"Well I think somebody's not a Royalist. I thought everyone watched the Screens. Whatever have they done to you?" He joked, nodding as if something made sense now.
Before I could reply the bell chimed again. Dong, dong, donggggggg.
"Sorry but it's time for me to go."
    "I'll see you around Reys."
    "See ya, Valsy."
He jumped. From the tree to the ground it was at least one hundred, maybe a hundred and twenty feet. And he just jumped off of one of the topmost branches. Reys must have felt me watching in awe because he looked back at me and shrugged his broad shoulders nonchalantly. Then the gorgeous colossus human being grinned knowingly. He gave me a sarcastic salute and ran into the darkness, towards the palace of Everlit. I smirked at his audacity.
At that exact moment, it dawned on me that he was the boy who'd taken the ladies shopping.
Except he wasn't the sort of person you bowed to... Was he?
****A/N****
So that was the 'part two' of Chapter 3. Who was Reys and why did the lady bow to him...? What's going to happen to Valsy next and I promise you'll find out who she is when she turns sixteen!
Bye to the one or two people reading my book, lmao.
    Xoxo, MissManic.
