Scene 2. Seoul. A restaurant. 8:55 p.m.
The kitchen is a zoo. The restaurant is especially busy tonight, and the staff is flying around trying to keep everything running smoothly. SEOKJIN is focused on his work.
Enter JIHYUN, in waiter's uniform.
JIHYUN: Hey, Jin hyung, Yoongi hyung is here to see you.
SEOKJIN: Oh, is he? Tell him I get off soon. What time is it?
JIHYUN: (looks at clock) Five minutes till nine.
SEOKJIN: Good. I'm nearly done this japchae, then I'll head out. Here, this stew is done.
JIHYUN: Okay, bye hyung.
Exit JIHYUN, plates in hand.
SEOKJIN quickly finishes preparing the dish, plates it and sets it out for a waiter to take. He hangs up his apron and walks out of the kitchen doors, where YOONGI is waiting.
SEOKJIN: To what do I owe the pleasure?
YOONGI: (grinning) I've barely seen you lately. Always working or out with the others.
SEOKJIN: Ah, well, you know, no rest for the wicked. (laughs loudly)
YOONGI: (rolls his eyes) Hyung, please.
SEOKJIN: Sorry, sorry.
YOONGI: Anyways, what do you say the two of us go grab a drink?
SEOKJIN: Sounds fantastic. I've been on my feet for ten hours straight today–crazy busy since lunchtime.
YOONGI: Yikes, well, nothing a few drinks won't cure.
They walk out of the restaurant and onto the busy streets of the city.
SEOKJIN: So, how've you been?
YOONGI: Oh, good, good. Thinking of quitting my job, though.
SEOKJIN: Really? I thought you loved your job?
YOONGI: Nah, we just got a new boss and he's already managed to piss off every employee in the one week he's been there. Total dick.
SEOKJIN: Aw, shit. (sympathetic) So what are you gonna do?
YOONGI: I don't know, maybe I'll see if Namjoon can put in a good word for me at his store.
SEOKJIN: That's not a bad idea. He gets good hours, easy money.
They reach the bar, and walk inside, sitting down at the bar. YOONGI orders a round of shots.
