you were stuck in an ocean,
screaming with agony.
you yelled my name saying "help me, help me."
i was scared.
i didn't know how to swim, but i love you.
i jumped in trying to learn something new.
my arms hurt, my legs hurt, my heart hurt.
you watched me, diving in to rescue you.
and as i made my way to you, i reached out my hand,
for you.
and yes, you did take my hand.
but you yanked it, pushing my head under.
you killed me with ease, i was gone within minutes.
i was diving in to save you, but i was diving into my death.
