-3rd person-

"Welcome to the second task. Last night something was stolen from each of our champions. A treasure of sorts. These four treasures, one for each champion, now lie on the bottom of the black lake. In order to win each champion need only find their
treasure and return to the surface.
Simple enough. Except for this, they
will have one hour to do so and one
hour only. After that they'll be on
their own." Dumbledore says over the loud speaker.

"Where is she," Cedric says nervously.

"You may begin at the start of the cannon." Dumbledore continues

The cannon fires and the champions enter the water, three of
them dive in while Harry is pushed. Underwater the effects of
gilliweed take hold, Harry's hands and feet

"The Beauxbatons champion Miss Delacour has unfortunately
been forced to retire. She will take
no further part in this task." Dumbledore announces

Harry is still searching around. He hears muffled screams. He
finds Ron, Hermione, Athena and a blonde girl from Beauxbatons
tied in place by their ankles. Cedric is there, he takes Athena with him. Harry sets about freeing Ron and Hermione but vicious merpeople appear.

Athena's POV

I gasp for air and wrap my arms tighter around my saviour. I feel a towel put around my shoulders when we're out of the water.

"W-what happened." I stutter because of the cold to my saviour who i now realise is Cedric.

"They took someone that the champions treasure and put them down there," he says referring to the lake. I smile and tackle him in a hug. The Hufflepuffs cheer as we hug. I kiss his cheek and we go red.

"Thank you," I smile and I see Fleur and Chloé wiggling their eyebrows and I glare at them.

"Attention! Attention! The winner is...
Mr Diggory and Ms Granger!" Dumbledore announces Cedric and his friends cheer.

"For showing unique command of the bubblehead shark. The way I see it, Mr Potter would have finished first had it not been for his determination to rescue not only Mr Weasly but the others as well. We've agreed to award him second place! For outstanding moral fibre." He continues.

I walk into my dorm and Hermione and Ginny aren't here so I take out my cauldron and my parchment paper with the shield potion on it. I look at the ingredients.

1 Elder dragon scale
1 strand of horse hair
2 newt eyes
5 drop of dragon tears

The only reason no one but me can make it is because no one can get my scales except me. I put the ingredients in and stir until it turns from red to blue. I dip a silver bracelet that has 'forever' engraved on the inside. When the wearer gets hit with any type of curse it stops it but makes it look like it worked. It can even stop the Avada Kedavra curse. I smile at my good work and put it away.

"I'm freaking out!" I exclaim.

"Why?I'm the one doing the trial," Ced laughs.

"What if you die! What will I do! I'll be dead inside! I couldn't live with myself! Don't die!" I exclaim shaking him and he laughs more.

"I will try not to," he says and I hug him.

"I don't know what I would do with out you to annoy me," I say playfully punching his arm.

"I don't know what I would do without my best friend either," he says and my heart stings at the word friend.
