I stretch and look besides me. The girl next to me is still asleep. Her hair is straggly and one of her leg hangs out of the bed. She is rolled in the sheets which keeps her from moving. I fought for my cold body the whole night but did not win. She wanted all the sheets for herself. She was sleeping and I was awake. She was warm and I was cold. But it's okay, I am used to sleep without them. When I was younger I always pushed my blankets off my bed when I was asleep. When I was twelve years old I started to sleep more restful. I wasn't constantly moving around in my sleep. This all changed back after last year. I got nightmares and could barely sleep. I got therapy and since two months I can finally sleep like a normal teenager again, but I never slept as good as I slept tonight. Even though I didn't sleep much.
I change my clothes and roll Camila further on the bed so she cannot fall again. I look at myself in the mirror which is hanging on the wall. My black high waist jeans and oversized black AC DC shirt are reflecting in the mirror. The bun in my hair is straggly and my make-up is rubbed over my face. I put my black Converse sneakers on and make my way to my room. I see the two lovebirds are still sleeping and decide to make breakfast. I am hungry. I make some sandwiches and set the table. I hear the ringtone of my phone and look at the number of the incoming call. My eyes shoot wide open and I freeze. 'That's not possible...' I tell myself and I feel anxiety filling my body. 'This is not possible. Jayden listen to yourself. He is not alive anymore. You got rid of him a year ago. You're hallucinating.' I keep telling myself that it can't be real. I pinch my arm with two fingers. 'I am not sleeping anymore... Jayden just ignore it.' I lay my phone in a drawer and hold my forehead under the crane. I have to cool down for a second. I dry my face with a towel and take a deep breath. I hear footsteps on the stairs and two voices talking to each other. Maya and Jacob wave good morning and take place on the chairs. 'Wow that sandwiches look delicious Jay.' Maya smiles and Jacob nods. 'Where is Camz?' I ask when I realize that only Maya and Jacob came downstairs. They shrug. 'Be right back. You can eat if you want. You don't have to wait for us.' I go upstairs and walk to the room where Camila and I slept last night. The brown eyed girl is still asleep. I strike with my hands over her soft pink cheek. 'Camz?' I whisper. The girl opens her eyes and locks her two chocolate brown orbs with mine. 'Good morning Little Drunky.' I smile. She rolls her eyes and giggles. 'Was it that bad?' Her mood changes and her eyes fall down on her hands. 'Well... You just drank a little too much of that beer. It happens me all the time princess.' I wink and a giggle escapes from her mouth. 'You're hungry?' Camila nods and wants to stand up but I hold her back. 'Wait, don't move. Be right back.' Camila gives me a confused look before I run to the bathroom. I fill a glass of water and grab two painkillers. I run back and give her the painkillers. 'You should take this. It will help against the headache. The girl nods thankful.
'Jayden I have to admit, your cooking skills are not that bad.' Maya teases. 'Thanks for that convincing compliment.' I laugh and turn my head in the direction of Camila. 'Do the painkillers help?' I ask her concerned. She nods and takes another bite of her sandwich. 'You're really lucky to have Jayden. Otherwise you would have laid somewhere in a ditch outside by now. You tried to escape this party three times! Were we so boring?' Maya teases and we start laughing. Camila gives me an apologizing look. 'I drank too much... I have no idea what had gotten into me yesterday. Sorry guys...' Jacob lays he's hand on her shoulder. 'It's okay, it happens to everyone. Just try to drink less beer next time. Not for us but for yourself. I don't mind keeping an eye on you but it's healthier to not drink too much alcohol.' He is so sweet. 'I know thanks.' She smiles and takes another bite of her sandwich. 'Um Jayden I think I hear someone's phone.' I freeze and feel my body filling with anxiety again. 'No I don't think so.' I say nervous. 'Uh yes I do. Aren't you going to check who is calling you?' She asks confused. I walk to the drawer where I put my phone in and look on the screen. The same number is calling me. I close drawer again and when I turn around all three are staring confused at me. 'Jayd what's going on?' Jacob asks worried. 'Nothing, just someone who is calling the wrong number.' I go sit on my chair and take a sip of my drink. 'I don't want to be rude but Maya and I have to go. We are going to the beach today.' Jacob shakes my hand and thanks me for the party. I give Maya a smirk and she rolls her eyes but she can't stop smiling. 'Have fun you two.' Maya gives me a hug. 'Hey just asking but why didn't Macy come to the party yesterday?' She looks concerned. 'I don't know. I will call her today. We need to talk about some stuff.' She nods and puts on her jacket. 'I see you Monday. Bye!' Maya waves smiling. 'Bye lovebirds!' I say and wave back at her. She ignores it and walks happy with Jacob to his car. After a couple minutes they drive away.
