"My breath is getting shorter
I close my eyes every night from twisted reality "Chapter 8 - Meeting Him
You had wondered how things came to this.
Everything was dark and you couldn't feel anything from your senses.
Were you perhaps dead?
Had you accidentally drank the wrong dose of your usual vitamins?
That would be ridiculous since Vitamin C is very much good for your body as far as you could tell so that can't be it.
Had you perhaps been bitten by a feral cat on one of your ventures from school and got rabies?
Impossible since the only animal whatsoever to bite you was in fact very much human and your best friend, you were pretty sure that there was no danger of infection of any kind.
Maybe you weren't really dead, just really lazy to get your ass off of whatever place you found yourself in.
Blinking repeatedly, you impatiently wait for your eyes to adjust to brightness of the place.
That is if there is any.
The place was practically pitch black, the only thing that illuminated the whole damn thing were mere streetlight that seemed to be made out of Christmas lights by the rapid intervals of its blinking.
The ground that you were splayed upon was rough and damp, probably just rained.
And judging from the occasional cars passing by, you were in an alley beside some road.
Great, how in the world did you even get in this place?
You had never remembered doing anything in a shady place like this and suddenly fainting out of nowhere.
Now that you thought about it, you had no recollection whatsoever on what happened before finding yourself in the current predicament no matter how hard you drilled your brain about it.
Rousing yourself, you slowly push yourself of the ground and settle into a semi-sitting position with both your hands flat on the ground supporting your body and your legs in useless Ls at your side.
A peculiar feeling of unease settles in your being.
Someone was watching you.
It didn't take long to see who or what it was that made you feel that way.
Looking in front of you, big onyx eyes bore into yours alight with surprise and judging from how it could seriously compare to those saucers in regards with its width, they were surprised to see you.
"W-Where did you come from?"
His voice sounded very much young but had that raspy thing to it that made it seem much more mature.
You couldn't make out his face and so you made it an effort to squint slightly to try and take a good look at the person.
His voice, you had noted, sounded really good... at least to you.
