Chapter Four

A/N I am going to start off by saying that i am very sorry for the very long wait. I have been going through a lot of personal issues but that is still no excuse. If you want a better explanation just message me. Now without further interruptions: the story.

Recap: 

"What does a gold bond mean?" I ask.

"That is a mating bond." Marcus states. I gasp and turn away from my parents, to face him.

"But that would mean..." I trail away.

"Yes." He confirms. Already I could see the bond strengthening the more I'm with them. They all smile at me with love and adoration in their eyes. It took my breath away. Caius walks up to my right side and caresses my cheek. Marcus walks up to my left and runs his hand through my auburn locks. Aro walks up to me hesitantly. I smile encouragingly at him and nod. He rests his left hand on my hip and the other one on my cheek.

"Extraordinary power." He whispers, "Magnifico."

"She's perfect." Caius murmurs, "Our Queen."

There was nothing but silence across the clearing. The wolves had even stopped breathing. It was quiet enough to hear a pin drop. How could this be? How could an unwanted twin like me be the Queen of Vampires? They must be mistaken. But I  knew they were right. The proof was right in front of my eyes. I could see that beautifully delicate gold band. They were not lying. 

There was movement across the clearing. Little Bella was making a scene.

"NO! She can't be the Queen! She is nothing and she always will be! She is trash! SHE KILLED ME." Her voice had gotten progressively more high pitched to the point that she no longer sounded like a person. "She can't be mated to monsters like them!!" 

"Excuse me? Who are you to call them monsters? Have you looked in the mirror, sweetie? If anyone is a monster here it would be you. So don't pull that crap on me. At least they didn't abandon their daughter the minute she was born. You are a sorry excuse for a mother!"

One second she was all the way across the clearing but then the next she was right in front of me with her claws around my neck. The guards were trying to get to me but I had a shield around Bella and I. I pried her hands away from my neck and threw her to the ground. 

"How dare you lay a hand on me? Who do you think you are?" My voice didn't sound like mine. It was like I was no longer me, I was no longer in control of my body. I was scared. So so scared. "You think I am nothing? You are nothing." 

I tore the barriers around her mind.

"Pain." 

She screamed bloody murder and  I didn't even flinch. She deserves it. Remesmee screamed along with her mother. Edward moves to stop me but Carlisle stops him. Smart choice. I move my gaze back to the sorry excuse for a vampire at my feet. She doesn't deserve to be immortal. I know that if I let her walk away then she will come back to hurt me. 

The pain got worse. If I let it go on too long it might kill her. I need to make a choice. Her or me?
