(Y/n)'s pov
I walked into the classroom, forced a smile, and went up to Mrs. Andrews.
"Hi Mrs. Andrews. I'm new here and would like to know where I'm supposed to sit." She looked up and smiled.
"(Y/n), hello! How do you like the school so far?"
"It's very nice, thank you," I mumbled quietly. She smiled warmly
"Okay, let's see...your seat is in between Michael and Jeremy, right there," she said politely and pointed to where I should sit. I walked over somewhat quickly and put my stuff down. On my left side was a boy with a striped shirt and on my right was a boy with glasses. The one with glasses started yelling.
"MRS. ANDREWS HOW COULD YOU SPLIT UP ME AND JEREMY!" He shouted. Mrs. Andrews replied somewhat rudely.
"Please Michael, we all knew this was coming. You and Jeremy aren't going to be together forever," she said strictly as she began to write on the board. So I'm guessing the one that yelled about how much he probably hates me is Michael and the one who's blushing so hard he looks like a tomato is Jeremy. I took out my notebook and started adding more lyrics to my one of a kind musical. Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned. It was Jeremy.
"Sorry about Michael, he can get defensive sometimes," he kindly apologized.
"I'll say," I mumbled and kept writing. He sighed softly and turned to face forwards. I felt bad almost instantly.
"Hey, I'm sorry. That was rude and you were only apologizing. You're Jeremy, right?" He smiled and nodded.
"You moved here from Illinois, right? I'm in your first period and enjoyed your little speech about your life story," he jokingly whispered. I laughed, probably a little louder than I should've. A small paper ball was thrown at my back. I turned around and death glared the person directly behind me. He put his hands up in defense and mouthed the words sorry, I'm trying to learn. I turned back around and found a note on my desk. That's Jake. He's one of the popular kids. I personally don't enjoy his company. It read. I looked at Jeremy and made eye contact. He nodded, showing that he wrote the note. I folded the note and put it in my pocket. Then I payed attention to the teacher at the front of the class.

At the end of the period I tried to find my way to Mr. Birch's room for science. I was pretty helpless. Thankfully, someone came to my aid.
"Who are you looking for?" The kid who threw paper at me said. I frowned instantly.
"I don't need your help, paper boy. What was your name? John? Joshua? Joseph?"
"Jake," He stated simply. "You're the new girl, right? (Y/n), I'm pretty sure?"
"The one and only," I answered.
"So where are you headed?" He asked, looking at the schedule I wrote down on my hand.
"Mr. Birch, science," I replied.
"Okay, so you'll take a left, then walk straight. It'll say his name on a piece of paper on the door. It's the one at the end of the hallway," he explained.
"Thanks. Maybe I'll see you later," I mumbled quietly as I walked away.
