Michael's Pov
I didn't think I would like (Y/n) very much, mostly because Mrs. Andrews split up me and Jeremy to make room for her. I should've given her a second chance earlier though because she thinks I hate her now. Maybe I'll invite her over after school! I'll also invite Jeremy and Christine though so it doesn't seem weird. Yeah, that works. I just hope she'll give me a chance and say yes. I looked up when the bell rang and got up. I threw my tray away and walked to the locker room with Jeremy.
"Do you want to come over to my house after school? I'm inviting Christine and (Y/n) too," I said tiredly.
"Sure! But seriously? You're gonna invite Christine?" Jeremy asked nervously. I looked at him slyly.
"Of course, Jeremy! I'm the matchmaker! Just wait. Once we get stoned in my basement her feelings for you will come out almost automatically." He looked at me really weirdly.
"Two things. One, if you're the matchmaker for me, I'll be the matchmaker for you. And two, (Y/n) won't want to date you if you invite her to get stoned. That's not something normal people do," he nagged wisely.
"If you haven't noticed, I'm not normal people. But okay! I'll see you after school!" I happily yelled and ran off.
"Michael, wait up!" I heard Jeremy shout as I ran off laughing.

(Y/n)'s pov
"So, I know it's your first day, but do you have your sights set on anyone?" Christine asked half-jokingly and wiggled her eyebrows. I scrunched my face and thought for half a second.
"Okay, you can't tell anyone, and I mean anyone. I know it's my first day, but Michael is...nice. I know that's dumb since he clearly doesn't like me, but-" I was cut off when she squealed semi-loudly and jumped up and down.
"OMG, I totally ship you two!! Otp, am I right?" She shouted. Everyone in the hallway stopped and looked at us. I put my hand over her mouth forcefully and briskly kept walking. She yelled and I felt something wet on my hand. I took it off of her mouth and wiped it on her arm.
"Ew, what the hell was that for?"
"You deserved it," she chuckled. I rolled my eyes and kept walking.
"You know, I do think that you and Michael would make a good couple. I can be your matchmaker!!"
"What about you, is there anyone that you like?" I pressed enthusiastically. Her face turned red.
"Well... Jake is kind of cool," she quietly confessed. I was shocked. I totally thought she would end up with Jeremy. But, being someone's friend means supporting them, so I guess my ship will have to sink.
"Aw, you guys would be so cute together!" I squealed with fake enthusiasm. It's a good thing I can act. Christine looked at a clock and her eyes widened.
"We gotta go! The bell's gonna ring!" She grabbed my hand and we sprinted down the hallway.
