It happened so fast.
First, they were driving down the back roads; a street that used to be a highway so many years ago. Then suddenly, there was only fire.
"Mom?! Dad?!" Tears formed, but only with one eye. It burned too much to let the tears fall, and pain was everywhere. "Someone! Please help! Please!"
"Hello? Is someone there?" A muffled voice came from outside all the fire, and relief washed over Silver.
"I'm here! I'm here!" Tears fell, despite how much it hurt. "Please! Help me!"
"Paramedics are on the way! Stay strong!" Tears kept falling, and it kept burning. Silver no longer could feel her legs, and everything became a blur.
The fire stopped, and Silver could see again. The pain was still there-the stinging of her burns were worse than the fire. Words were all just a blur, but there were some words Silver hung on to.
"-nerves are shocked. She-"
"-robotics?"
The pain caused spots to obscure Silver's vision. The spots grew, and soon everything was black.
